It's not focusing becase that lens isn't a macro lens so it can't focus on very close subjects. You just need to move the camera further away and then zoom in to have the same image but focused :)
They don't seem to mind. I used to worry about that but they just keep doing their rabbit things and they'll flop which means they're relaxed. Same with my puppy, he sleeps through all the cutters!
They are the Cricut standard grip ones. They last much better than the Silhouettes ones in my experience. They only come in 12 x 12 so I trim them to fit the Portrait machines!

Is your printer covered to avoid dust? What kind of printer is it (model)?
Not for dust, they were covered in this video as when I filmed it I wasn't sharing what printers I use! but I do now haha it's the Canon iX6850 :)

Do you have a problem with the bunny chewing through wires? I did when I let mine run around in the house, but they are so clean.
I've bunny proofed the room well so there's no exposed cables - they will chew them if they find them!
