That’s amazing she’s able to but women should be able to complain. It’s hard work! And sometimes it’s beyond our control. I had post partum depression with my first and had no idea what that was at the time. All I knew was that I loved my baby but I was sad, lonely and had no motivation.

The post partum depression topic y'all were talking about , I didn't even understand it myself at the time . I came home with my 3rd baby and didn't understand why I was feeling like I was . Being a mom was the most admirable feeling and such a gift . So, it made no sense to me why I wasn't feeling myself . Luckily , my mom spotted it and very kindly said something to me , although I thought she was crazy . I brought it up to my doctor . I'm so glad I did , it took some time but I was feeling myself again before too long . Thankfully ! I still have small guilt , even though my kids were way too young to know their mom was on the couch sobbing instead of playing with them . If anyone ever feels off , just talk to someone ! It feels so much better if you can get back to feeling like you again ! 💗✌️ Definitely , don't suffer ! I'm glad you guys are so candid about so many topics ! Also, I'm glad both of you are feeling fabulous ! 💕
I had postpartum depression with my first and postpartum psychosis with my second. I have always envied moms that never dealt with it. I really wish I could go back and have a “normal” experience. Now, I’m making up for lost time with my babies. It was WILD! I can’t even express how blessed I am to still be here and have my kids. They were worth every second of it.

You're doing so well Cara, as a mum of five too I suffered terribly with post partum depression every time but more so with my first. He was 10 pounds birthweight and at 5ft and half an inch tall I had a very difficult natural birth (shoulder dystocia.) You seem so well and it's wonderful to see. My youngest is now nearly 13 and all the others are adults now. One day you'll really miss all the noise and crazyness! Yes you do miss all the noise and goofiness because now I’m talking to the dogs like they’re my kids. I’m not old enough! But it’s definitely loud and crazy when all 4 of my kids and their spouses/fiancée and the grandkids are together. But I sit back , smile, and think about how blessed I am and how much I love them all.
That is a writing technique! Sleeping, waking up mid-dream writing down your ideas. I have had some of my favorite stories written that way. You could voice memo your dreams or have a notebook to write them down when you are holding baby. Thank you for sharing thoughts, and facts about postpartum. It is important to know, and then to have compassion.

I've been watching since Gemma was born and not one to comment very often but maybe that needs to change. I admire you so much and enjoy being part of The Chat Fam. My husband and I have a daughter and two grandchildren so I always enjoys watching all the little ones!
I honestly can’t even imagine having 5 children under 5 years old, you are both super heroes and your kiddos are beautiful. My kiddos are all grown but I really remember that period of being soooo tired it’s hard to think straight. When my youngest daughter was born, her brother was 5 1/2 and in kindergarten and her sister was 11 and in middle school. The baby did not sleep thru the night until she was 18 months old😳! With everything the two older kids had going on and with barely any sleep, I literally felt like the walking dead👀. But, I wouldn’t change a single thing about that time! As you know well, babies change and grow all the time, so you just have to try and cherish every moment. Congratulations on your beautiful baby boy, Asher💙

I encapsulated and consumed my placenta and I am so glad I did. My postpardum anxiety was so bad I was afraid to sleep bc I was worried my baby would stop breathing. 4 days after I gave birth my placenta pills were delivered to me and a few days after that I felt 1000 x better. I highly reccomend. Ur placenta has all the pregnancy hormones and it allows u to taper off the hormones rather than lose the hormones abruptly.
My hospital wouldn’t let me have my placenta. I had postpartum depression with my first, so I asked for it with my second. They said it was bio hazardous material and that they couldn’t release it to me. I ended up having postpartum psychosis and had to be hospitalized with my second. It took the first two years of her life from me. Not saying that the placenta would’ve made that much of a difference, but it might have helped.
I had post partum depression after my 1st birth. I didn't want anyone else to care for my son. I didn't eat for 2 weeks, just drank orange gatorade! I sure lost the weight lol. It is a real thing......it is OK to ask for help! Prayers to all who are suffering, it will get better. Cara, you are a boss babe and Derek, thank you for being a super hubby/daddy. You are a wonderful influence for all men! Love you all!
My daughter kept her placenta and used it to make an art print. She set it on a canvas and the blood was the ink and it turned out a beautiful tree of life xx
Lol I just asked my husband what postpartum depression is since we have had 3 kids that are older now and nieces and lol he said the same thing Derek did! So I explained it finally and he was like I guess that makes more sense!!! 😂😂😂 But so glad you're doing great with it Cara! Looking forward to the new intro and family pics!

Darik you have such beautiful women in your life...your wife, mom, mother-in-law and of course your daughter's. I love how you tell your mom that she looks nice when you see her ...she certainly could pass for your sister !!! I've been watching since Gemma was born and not one to comment very often but maybe that needs to change. I admire you so much and enjoy being part of The Chat Fam. My husband and I have a daughter and two grandchildren so I always enjoys watching all the little ones!
I honestly can’t even imagine having 5 children under 5 years old, you are both super heroes and your kiddos are beautiful. My kiddos are all grown but I really remember that period of being soooo tired it’s hard to think straight. When my youngest daughter was born, her brother was 5 1/2 and in kindergarten and her sister was 11 and in middle school. The baby did not sleep thru the night until she was 18 months old😳! With everything the two older kids had going on and with barely any sleep, I literally felt like the walking dead👀. But, I wouldn’t change a single thing about that time! As you know well, babies change and grow all the time, so you just have to try and cherish every moment. Congratulations on your beautiful baby boy, Asher💙

I encapsulated and consumed my placenta and I am so glad I did. My postpardum anxiety was so bad I was afraid to sleep bc I was worried my baby would stop breathing. 4 days after I gave birth my placenta pills were delivered to me and a few days after that I felt 1000 x better. I highly reccomend. Ur placenta has all the pregnancy hormones and it allows u to taper off the hormones rather than lose the hormones abruptly.
My hospital wouldn’t let me have my placenta. I had postpartum depression with my first, so I asked for it with my second. They said it was bio hazardous material and that they couldn’t release it to me. I ended up having postpartum psychosis and had to be hospitalized with my second. It took the first two years of her life from me. Not saying that the placenta would’ve made that much of a difference, but it might have helped.

I had post partum depression after my 1st birth. I didn't want anyone else to care for my son. I didn't eat for 2 weeks, just drank orange gatorade! I sure lost the weight lol. It is a real thing......it is OK to ask for help! Prayers to all who are suffering, it will get better. Cara, you are a boss babe and Derek, thank you for being a super hubby/daddy. You are a wonderful influence for all men! Love you all!

My daughter kept her placenta and used it to make an art print. She set it on a canvas and the blood was the ink and it turned out a beautiful tree of life xx
Lol I just asked my husband what postpartum depression is since we have had 3 kids that are older now and nieces and lol he said the same thing Derek did! So I explained it finally and he was like I guess that makes more sense!!! 😂😂😂 But so glad you're doing great with it Cara! Looking forward to the new intro and family pics!
