You have a real good sense of volume, shapes, you’re work speaks for it self. Lots of hours and blood sweat and tears to get to this point, to any one seeing this comment keep at it you will eventually get to this point.
Very informative ...there is a small mistake though the ellipse templates are spaced in degrees not measured in % . Imagine a circle flat on a table ( theoretically 90 degrees) then slowly turned 90 degrees around its middle axis until only a line ( theoretically 0 degrees ) is visible to an eye viewing from above. All images between are ellipses to the eye with differing lengths of the minor axis ,all ellipses visible are spaced by the amount of rotation measured in degrees.
Phil- Thanks. Glad you liked the course. Please help spread the word about it. I was torn when making this video as I could have spent the time working on the Level 3 course for Udemy!
It's funny that you ask that question as a mention of the white highlighter was in the script but didn't make the final cut. I'm using a Wite Out pen but you can use gouache paint as well. The Wite Out pen is basically a paint pen. You need a dense white to make the highlights pop so any medium that is not translucent will work. Thanks for asking.
Which Strathmore Newsprint paper do you recommend to start: Smooth or the rough type? In the Udemy course you show us the smooth pad, but here you show us the rough pad...
D- I use smooth for all drawings in the videos. I believe the rough pad used in this video was what was lying around when we filmed. The smooth will be easier on your soft pencils. I would go with the smooth if you have the choice. Thanks for the question.
That's a good idea. You're the first person to ask but I can see the need. It would help so many people who don't have a clue about the surfaces they are drawing.
It depends on what you already own and what you are looking to improve. Not knowing this, it's hard to make a recommendation. Let me know the answers and I can help. Thanks.
@@Jmoneyy365 Depending on where you are in the world, I would get a large newsprint pad and some soft lead pencils. If a newsprint pad is not available, look for a roll of packing paper or butcher paper and cut the sheets yourself. You want to draw large with a soft pencil to learn the right technique of drawing from your shoulder. You cannot do this drawing on small sheet of notebook or A4 paper.

Please tell us the whole process of creating a model with drawings of the exterior of the interior and clay models
Why?
what do you use to add whites? a gel pen? a white pencil?

can i use a mechanical pencil for certain things
Car designers never really use a mechanical pencil. What did you want to use it for?
What would you recommend for a $50-$60 dollar budget?
It depends on what you already own and what you are looking to improve. Not knowing this, it's hard to make a recommendation. Let me know the answers and I can help. Thanks.
@@howtodrawcars. well I dont have any material at all. I mainly wanted to sketch without color for right now
