This video’s *Ring the Bell* rating: 11/20 They said it two separate times, but neither time really felt like it had much energy behind it. I was really hoping that the fan advocating for watching the panda TH-cam channel would say it. Oh well
As a low mid-tier competitive player I 100% agree with the chaos of more tournaments allowing hazards on stages as at least a secondary tournament that gets the same billing as doubles. There is so much strategy and depths when it comes to picking from 100+ stages and 80+ characters, that I genuinely feel like you have to develop a skill-set completely different from traditional competitive Smash to be good at it.
King of Skill is cool, but he's best when collabing with others and remember that these people at tournaments are at tournaments and probably follow more pro players and thus would be more familiar with the Panda crew.
I agree with the 'Hazards on' guy. Sure, no hazards is good and all, but Smash competitive players need to calm down with their opinions on how the game is played and what characters are good. This is the same mindset (Esam, I'm looking at you) that wanted Ridley in smash for so long, then after the novelty wore off, just dropped him in bottom tier and never gave a second thought.
When you can be the best representative of a character why would you pick a top tier just to win tournaments. Way better to pick a low or mid tier and be hype and win big upsets like Skyjays not winning Majors and neither is peanut but I love watching them man. Id pick being the best Ganondorf fuck it :D characters fun as hell. Though being the best Ice Climber and ZTD everyone would be hilarious. But it would get boring pretty quickly probably. When you pick a char like Ganondorf even when youre the absolute best at the char you'll still struggle. Which is more fun.

The whole point of a tournament is to judge two people's skill against each other and you can't do that when there are major distractions like Hazards On despite how cool, awesone and funny they are some times.

First Character In Bracket: Captain Falcon - 0 (Well, the Pandas didn't get this one either. But how? This is the most overused and overrated character ever!) New Competitive Stage: Hyrule Temple - 0 (Dang, I thought for sure the casual favorite would get ONE vote at least) Best At Character: ROB - 0 (8 billion people play ROB and no one said ROB?!) Favorite Smash TH-camr: Little Z - 2 (I went straight up on sub count over HBox, I'm glad I did.) Scariest Round 1 Character: Steve - 5 (Coney threw so hard on this, I'm shocked it wasn't an automatic.) Score: 7 I don't think my first three guesses were BAD from the standpoint of logic, but it's hard to get into the heads of other people. The results were not great. Not my strength!
The guy pitching Gamer with hazards on is spitting, because Mom shows up more often the longer the match goes on. If it's a Roy vs Kazuya set, you might see 3 Mom interactions in the whole game. But if it's a Sonic v Steve match, Mom is coming out every 30 seconds to tell everyone to stop camping and go to bed.
If I magically got God-tier skills at a character, it would be Inkling. Think about it! I would not only win at Smash Bros, but I'd ALSO be the best in Splatoon!! :D
For the third question if I were to become the BEST I would assume I would start winning tournaments, so I would pick "bad" characters so that way I am Sooo good that I even "overcome" the character's faults and stomp on all the thousands of people who think they are good just becuase they pick Joker, so my answer would of course be Plant That or Shulk, who I don't even main but has always been called the "DLC character who isn't DLC" and people always say he has the most hidden potential but it is hard to fully master monado arts
The question was "if you could become the best player of a specific character." The current best Plant doesn't win majors, so neither would you. Picking Joker would mean you're better than Leo, so you would win everything.
