The Yamaha YZF-R3 is Yamaha’s response to the likes of the Kawasaki Ninja 300 and KTM RC390. Now, however, the Ninja 400 has made its debut, and the Honda CBR250RR and CBR300R are all giving it stiff competition globally. There aren’t any mechanical changes to the 2018 R3 other than the updation to BS4 emission norms, but new colour schemes (blue and black) and the addition of ABS have made it better value. However, it doesn’t offer upside-down front forks or an all-digital instrument cluster like the R15 V3 offers. On the other hand, it still has the sweet 41bhp, 321cc parallel-twin engine and the handling that can bring any man to his knee.
The YZF-R3 competes with the Kawasaki Ninja 300, Benelli 302R, and KTM RC390 in the Indian market. The Honda CBR250R will also be a competitor when launched.
At its launch price of Rs 3.48 lakh, it undercuts the Kawasaki Ninja 300 by Rs 12,000 and offers ABS as well, as well as a higher peak power figure. It is now the twin-cylinder sportbike to beat in the Indian market.
The Yamaha YZF R3 is known to be a versatile sportsbike which not just packs in performance but also offers usability of an everyday motorcycle. The comfortable ergonomics along with a refined and punchy motor makes it suitable for touring as well as for action-packed mountain rides.

Price: Yamaha MT-03 price for its variant - MT-03 Standard is estimated at Rs. 4,60,260. The mentioned MT-03 price is the average ex-showroom.
Yamaha MT-03 is a street bike available in only 1 variant and 2 colours. The Yamaha MT-03 is powered by 321cc BS6 engine which develops a power of 41.4 bhp and a torque of 29.5 Nm. With both front and rear disc brakes, Yamaha MT-03 comes up with anti-locking braking system.
India Yamaha Motor has finally expanded its MT line-up with the launch of the MT-03. This bike will rival the famous KTM 390 Duke in India.
This motorcycle is based on the YZF-R3, and thus it shares the same underpinnings as its fully-faired sibling. However, the MT-03 carries a streetfighter design along with upright ergonomics. Other styling elements comprise a projector-style headlight with LED DRLs, a muscular fuel tank, a split-style seat, a side-slung exhaust, and 17-inch split-style alloy wheels on both ends. The feature list comprises full-LED lighting, a fully digital instrument cluster, and a dual-channel ABS. The instrument console houses the speedometer, odometer, trip meter, tachometer, fuel gauge, and gear position indicator.
The mechanical specifications will be similar to the YZF-R3, and thus the MT-03, too, uses a 321cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin motor. Linked to a six-speed gearbox, this engine makes 42bhp and 29.6Nm on the international-spec model. We expect to see similar numbers on the India-bound version. Meanwhile, the suspension tasks will be handled by upside-down telescopic front forks, a rear monoshock, and single-disc brakes on both wheels. Then, the 17-inch alloy wheels are shod in 110/70 front and 140/70 rear tyres.
The Yamaha MT-03 is priced quite high and is the most expensive among its rivals. It is being imported from Indonesia and is sold in two colours- Cyan Blue and Black.

R3 এবং MT-03 আগামী ২-৩ বছরেও আসতে পারবে কি না সন্দেহ আছে। যেখানে R15 ও CBU হিসেবে আসে সেখানে R3 তো CKD হিসেবে আসার কোনো চ্যান্স ওই নাই। ইয়ামাহা যদি দেশে R3 আনতে না পারে, তবে তাদের সেল অনেকটাই ডাউন হয়ে যাবে। তবে ভালোই হয়েছে সরকার CBU পারমিশন দেয় নাই। না হলে লবন কোম্পানি R3 এর যেই দাম রাখতো, সেই দামে একটা ৬০০ সিসির বাইক কেনা যাবে

xmr210 আসার পর r15 এর মার্কেট মোটামুটি শেষের দিকে। rtr310, royal enfield, Kawasaki, honda এসব বাইকগুলো আসার পর ইয়ামাহা কে ব্যবসা করতে হলে অবশ্যই হায়ার সিসির বাইক বাংলাদেশে আনতে হবে।
