I remember when in TNG it was fairly rare for a handful of phasers to be shot at the enemy and Photon torpedoes were a last resort. Now we have some ADHD laser light show firing trillions of photon torpedoes like they were grown from Michael Bay's uterus.
Picard was only that thrifty with the torpedoes because the effects shots were crazy expensive to do. The writers had to come up with reasons for the Enterprise to drop out of warp sometimes because the star streak effect was too expensive to do. The "ADHD laser light show" in this game looks terrible, but the big battles in later DS9 (or Babylon 5) were great.
Remember that time the crew had to deal with those two alien races that hated each other because one half of their face was white and the other black but the sides were swapped on one?
Remember the time when Kirk teamed up with President Lincoln? Remember the time when some generic hot women stole Spock’s brain and McCoy had to control Spock’s body with a remote control? Season 3 was strange.

The two things that I remember from it are: Steve, one of DE's lead designers, wore Spock ears almost every day for the first half of development; and that around the midway point of the game's development, a couple of men from the publishing side of the game came in and pretty much told DE to gut and completely rework the game while still keeping the same deadlines. The problem is that I can't remember for the life of me what interview they said this in.

I like this play through, but Pat should forma Spock Prime to fit umbral intensify and vitality. And Matt's Phaser riven is fine too, so he doesn't need to keep cycling it trying to get red crits. Just use 60/60 mods and build it for 100% status.

Pat's able to get away with using corrupted mods to boost his ability strength on Spock Prime, but using umbral intensify will let him make a quality build that won't push him into negative power duration. Easier upkeep better efficiency, and more hp too for just ~3 forma. And Matt's riven is fine, I know it's not god tier, and lacks a great negative. But Matt's getting consistent orange crits with it, and viral slash builds scale way better than pure crit.
