Which wire you used for the remote wire to switch the amp on. After market radio come with it. Its usually a thin 12v remote wire. That would be very much helpful. And to clarify im not talking about the batter power source
Do you have the Harmon kardon set up?
Would this work for a 2015 428i gran coupe?
Im doing to same thing but my amp isnt coming on what coukd it be ? Im using the kicker loc2 ive got a 2008 bmw 535i. The line out converter has the 12v remote on it
I would have to see your setup or wiring to diagnose, unfortunately. Amps need a 12v constant to work so it probably has something to do with that.
halloo 1 question my oem amp is blown water went into it can i still putt a aftermarket amp in my F36 440i 2019 pulling the oem out of the car??? car has no sound atall
Cheers man
I didn’t see were the remote line went to turn off the amp when you turn on and off the radio.
Hi, I have a F36 418d but I do not seem to have a factory amp is that possible? I removed everything from the left side pannel but it is just an empty space. So now I am not able to locate the subwoofer cables from under the seat. Can the factory amp be placed somewhere else? or can it be that my car does not have a factory amp?
Thank you in advance!
Sorry for the late reply, i'm just now seeing this. Factory amp should be in the same place.
Hey bro you ever find out whats the screwdriver for? I know that other part is for pulling the car into the flat bed, but the screwdriver i have no idea. The tool set by the battery
I got my 2017 528i hooked up with 2 10 DS18 on a sundown 1750D amp but it’s not loud. Do I need a bass knob ? How can I get it louder ?Do I need a DSP ?
How did you keep the other subs working properly if you just snipped the wires to route the line out converter? Should you have used a T connector instead?
I didn't snip the wires I used T taps! The just tap into the wire without disturbing the original connection.
Hi so did you completely disconnect the subs underneath? Or are they still working?
Could you please tell me colure code of polarity. Speakers/subwoofer
Thx
Do you have harmon kardon or hifi?
Are you using your stock deck?
I can’t find my remote wire, I have a f32
Hi, nice video but after this does your under seat factory subs still working? Or only the aftermarket sub?
Is adding an amd and subs to your Beemer bad for the vehicle
Hey there. So it depends on how big a setup you have. A really big system could drain your battery and overwork your alternator. It could also blow fuses and cause other things not to work. I don't have any issues with my setup because it doesn't require that much power. Although in the future ill probably add a capacitor and a better fuse just to be safe.
Yeah I always add a capacitor to my systems just to ensure that I don’t damage the battery cells even though I like using gel batteries.
remote wire ? we're
Just purchase the low pass audio converter with automatic on/off. It automatically turns on the amp when it senses power from the OEM speakers when you turn them on and turns back off when power to the speakers aren’t present. It’s the little black box he shows tied into the OEM speaker wire harness
F36* is grandcoupe
Gngj
Sooo sloppy. Not impressed
I like that job and because everything is hidden, it looks great.
What’s up man.. I’ve got a couple questions do you by chance have Facebook..?
How will this work if you have harman/kardon sound system?
FOR REMOTE WIRE, USE A FUSE TO TAP INTO IN THE FUSE PANEL IN THE TRUNK. I DON'T REMEMBER WHICH ONE I USED BUT IT COMES "ON" WHEN THE CAR IS TURNED ON..... So... It's a switch to run the remote to your amp. Cut a thin wire for your remote, shove it in the fuse prong when you shove the fuse back in the holder, then that wire will now be your remote power on wire. I think I used the "Power Mirror" wire on mine but don't recall... you'll have to use a test light to test each fuse to find one that comes ON when you start the car. This is how you create a remote power on for all cars with no remote out on stock factory radios. Hope that helps!!!
you’re wrong all 5 fuses are energized when the ignition is off what are you talking about?
