-During supination twist, when hind foot goes for pronation, the transverse tarsal joint tries to supinate and get the foot back to neutral but when it fails the 1st and the 2nd ray is pushed into the ground and 5th and 4th ray lifts up.This is countered by ground reaction force on 1st and second ray and inversion component on 4th and 5th ray which gets the foot back to neutral.

I remember stuck at this part for weeks during my first year biomechanics. So i dig and dig and finally mastered it, and key part is along the way i side tracked and learned so many other useful things. After 20 years as a practicing physiotherapist, that struggle is fresh in my mind. It made me love foot complex, it made me good at what i do. I still refer Cynthia Norkin.
