What amazes and fascinates me about Matt is his quick wit - especially with his crowd work. It takes a very special mind to come up with quips so fast.
I can't believe how much MORE I LOVE Matt Rife! He is so down to earth, eloquent, intelligent and empathetic. His good looks do not overshadow what a great guy he truly is! He's undoubtably my favorite comedian and I absolutely love how he highlights handicapped people and makes them be seen! God Bless You Matt! Personally, there are way too many folks today who look for things to be offended by. It has almost reached epidemic proportions imo. If you can't laugh at life's absurdities, heartaches, health problems, etc., you won't live long. I get the impression that Matt wants to laugh with his audience at human behavior, and doesn't have an agenda or aspirations to target anyone in particular.😊
I think laughing is key to framing the mind’s resiliency to feelings and focus mind to think more clearly to remain level! It is under appreciated and not understood! We need to strengthen our minds to be critical self thinkers to overcome and build up the mind so it isn’t susceptible to victimhood! Victimhood breads weakness, weak thoughts and thought processes and conclusions and policy! I always laugh at myself with whomever it is in the moment who cracks a joke at me! Always! And then I am never offended and we laugh and joke together!!! We need to stop talking about and seeing color and start talking about us as HUMANS and U.S. citizens! God bless the good!

Matt says the same as me. Humour is subjective. 😊 everyone likes different things doesnt deduct any of the value of it just means its not your thang. I love a lot of different comedians. I LOVE how he talks about if he had gotten things earlier in his life, he wouldn't have handled it correctly. It's sooo true. Being humbled a few times definitely makes you value your success and not expect your success. We see this with most (NOT all) people that get success, looks, money, etc when they are younger. They then usually just expect certain treatment/lifestyles If you work for it ir get it later in life, theres usually a bit more humility and value
I loved this interview. Matt is just who i thought he was and the interviewer did a great job of asking interesting questions then shutting up while Matt answered them.

I think Matt hit on what it takes to be a success: It's self-awareness. I get the impression he earnestly wants to stay true to who he is regardless of success in any form. That's a rare find in someone his age.
I'm an English learner, part of my learning process is with TH-cam and podcasts and I love to see one of my favorite TH-camrs with my favorite Comedian! 🎉
What a great interview! People have to understand that comedy is 1) an amazing way to cope with hard moments in life. 2) it's a way to criticise the things that are wrong in the world. 3) it's supposed to unite people from different backgrounds through the little things that we all have in common as humans. 4) it's not malicious, it's matter of fact. 5) it's freedom. This guy is precious because he's great at doing all of the above with his heart in the right place. And believe me, as a person with disabilities, I wish every person were like Matt when I'm going through harder times! I am stupidly foolish when I have to deal with hardship and lots of people look at me in a judgemental way... Hey! It's my pain, it's my body, it's my life and I don't have to be suffering in order to please your pre conceived idea of what hardship looks like! I mourned for the life I lost, I've been through hell and now I accept my new life, I know how to handle it, it's my normality! I'm not your news broadcaster that feeds you with the bad news that you all love so much. Laugh alongside me or just play your candy crush on your phone!
Matt has come so far, for not only being hilarious, but being humble, and being so quick whittled and brilliant that his dealing with a people in the crowd comes off so brilliantly. He had something that many are now trying to follow because he’s so successful at it. Agree with his Steinfeld Assessment as well, as never got why he was so big, but as Matt says, it’s a personal opinion. Matt has crafted his future. He just needs to be careful that he doesn’t burn out with his upcoming schedule
Matt, you deserve every penny you make. You're without a doubt the funniest dude ever, and your ability to come up with material instantly is incredible. It's great to see someone who doesn't give a shit and says what people are actually thinking.

Why people criticize him for getting his teeth fixed? Because he can pay for it?? Who in Hollywood didn’t get “fixed”? I had my smile corrected. I paid for it. Never looking back. Keep it up Matt! ❤
He had a jaw implant. I don't know about his teeth, but I do know that the plastic surgeon that did his jaw came out and confirmed it.
Are you a PR bot? The amount of what looks like throw away profiles all of older women stating both their age and how much they LOVE Matt is coming across as oddly spammy...
Because it's phony. Phony is phony.

Haha thank you 🙏

Oh my god. I loved this interview. It feels so good to hear from Rife. A great time to give an interview about his thoughts and opinions, his process and preparation.
The questions were thoughtful, the answers were insightful.
You're a fantastic interviewer.
And, Matt, wow!! He's grown so much as a person.
What a wonderful conversation to be a part of.
That last line: I was a comedian first... that breaks my heart.
Of course, Matthew Steven Rife made me fall in love with stand-up.
I'll never forget that.
❤
I saw Matt on TH-cam within the last 6 months. I really like his humor. Im in my mid 70's & i love it when he talks to women my age. He is funny, kind, & respectful. I wish him the best. Keep it going Matt. You have tons of wit & talent.

@@rainabird2875 I guess I won’t say how much I love Matt Rife’s work. I’m also not going to say how old I am. Just let me assure that I’m human, I’m old (in some people’s opinion. Ehem.), and you sound like you don’t know that older women can still have a sense of humor and can still appreciate a good looking young man who helps us laugh.
@@nancymueller6206 You are projecting on me and assuming things that are entirely incorrect. That's what happens when we don't know someone and we attempt to guess. We usually guess incorrectly. Funny how that works out.
@@nancymueller6206 frankly it's a bit creepy how much you are fetishizing this dude but you do you.
You are totally deserving of every good thing in life and more!!
YES! And then he turns around and can joke with "Ashley with the squeaky b00bs"... 😂 I will ALWAYS remember that!
Exactly!!
I think you are correct in everything you just shared.
YES!! Omigosh, I agree 100% with this comment!
Loved this interview very interesting conversations and I enjoyed Matt Rife's senses of humor and jokes so much. I'm almost 70 years young and am a grandmother of six wonderful grandchildren that live on opposite sides of the country from me. I missed my family so much! Watching and listening to Matt's funny quips and jokes helps made my day to forget my aches and pains! Thank you for this interesting and informative interview, great job!

I love how open he is to talking about everything
I love that Matt Rife jokes all people all subjects equally and he doesn't worry about whose going to get butt hurt with what he says. So many people have forgotten that its COMEDY!
Matt says the same as me. Humour is subjective. 😊 everyone likes different things doesnt deduct any of the value of it just means its not your thang. I love a lot of different comedians. From matt rife to trevor noah, drew lynch, kevin hart, jo koy, so many and they all make me laugh... wisdom and humour is always a good combo 😊
Matt has to be the sweetest guy I've ever seen, especially in comedy
Dude definitely got humbled. Glad he thanked the camera and made it a personal thank you
How does this channel not have over a million subs??? These are some of the best interviews on the internet
because this channel is not for quick consumption and entertainment. I bet Jon Youshaei's 492k subscribers have more engagement % and retention than most channels with million subs.
Matt Rife.... You are a healer ✌️💜 Laughter is the best medicine!
This was a GREAT interview. I love Matt Rife. His comedy and crowd work is beyond any comedian I’ve ever seen. He’s definitely going places.
They then usually just expect certain treatment/lifestyles
If you work for it ir get it later in life, theres usually a bit more humility and value
Yes this is true, it’s gods speed!
Matt seems super genuine, and the chemistry with you on screen is similar to the Danny Duncan video. Well done Jon
How refreshing to listen to an interview that the person doesn’t put the word “like” every other word….and love Matt Rife
I loved this interview. Matt is just who i thought he was and the interviewer did a great job of asking interesting questions then shutting up while Matt answered them.
Matt Rife is smart and talented. He seems to be a nice guy as well.
Mr Rife is so down to earth. So real and honest for h8s age. I love his banter personality and just.him
Such a great interview, your a great interviewer Jon. I was kept so engaged and yet it was such a casual chill vibe Im definitely a new subscriber. Blessings to you both. Matt Rife keep cracking us up and being so funny, the whole family love ya , and Jon please keep the great interviews coming continual blessings to you both.
Jesus lady. Your favorite? You need to get out more
👍👌 Goodluck, friend.
Matthew you earned this with all the sleepless night the crashing on a friends couch love you made it happen ❤You are a legend ❤
Surprisingly so humble. Great performer, genuine.
Matt, you deserve every penny you make. You're without a doubt the funniest dude ever, and your ability to come up with material instantly is incredible. It's great to see someone who doesn't give a shit and says what people are actually thinking.
The kid doesn’t discriminate and knows how to work every type of person in the audience! The fact that every girl wants him and he wants grandmas just shows people will love u more when ur ahole to them! lol definitely has me in tears everytime I watch him!
I’m recovering from a near fatal massive stroke and I’m temporarily handicapped and once in a while I may require a wheelchair. I would absolutely love to see Matt Rife live and in person and be roasted! I’m working on some big things! I absolutely love and appreciate the dark humor! Especially now more than ever after discovering Matt Rife.
Also this video made me subscribe! Love the content!!
You have an awesome attitude. I'm glad you made it! Praying for you! 🙏

Hes not that funny though. Weird to like someone who isnt funny
@@billybusseyhe’s not that funny to YOU though. You can’t say he’s “not that funny” when a lot of people thinks he actually is. You don’t speak for everyone, it can be your opinion, but not everyone thinks the same.

@billybussey He’s not really that funny……. he’s freakin’ hilarious. 😂😂😂
@@billybusseyhis crowd work is impeccable! Sorry for you that you don’t appreciate his work but I’m sure there are plenty of comedians that you can appreciate. This doesn’t mean he isn’t funny. He literally shut down Ticketmaster! Taylor Swift is the only other person to ever do this.

I've been clinically depressed for almost 20 years and then I seen this genius comedian perform on Netflix! OMG you snapped me back to reality. I can finally see my future again!! You are the best comedian I've ever seen and I've seen a lot!! I love your humor, your quick wit and the way you carry yourself on stage. Whats so amazing about u matthew is that all your material seems so spontaneous, i never would have thought you had specific jokes set up
This interview really showed another side of Matt as a real person. What a wonderful man. I missed his show when he was in Buffalo. I hope he returns. ❤ Matt! Sue RN

Story is so inspiring nd reminds me of the bamboo growth story. Where nothing happens for yrs, but then you get that 1 yr of growth out of nowhere. Love it 🙌🏽
I stay using this story as an example for ppl that want to quit stuff they been working on for years.
@shiryzie Thanks so much for your bamboo comment and how you encourage people with it. I've been slogging away at something for ten years... you just gave me a boost to keep going.
I love how context is shown via news images or video clips ❤

Love the improv crowd work! I watched this special and enjoyed it! Matt is a natural at this!
It is so great to see a young person so passionate about his craft.
So proud of Matt, I think his humor is great! He is a smart young man that'll go far in life. A 66 yr. old female here going on 40, lol

I watched the special last night. I gave it a two thumbs up.
It is not his best crowd works I have ever seen him do, but it was great.

Saw him for the first time on a TH-cam short and got hooked. GREAT comedian! Great interview!
He's correct about Seinfeld. Now, I will go and introduce myself to his work.
Great interview for both of you! Looking great, Matt !
I do like his crowdwork more than his standup... he's so great at thinking on his feet and being spontaneous... interaction with the audience has an incomparable energy that's contagious...
If you have consistently watched Matt you know his heart. He’s an incredibly funny dude that has had a arduous journey to get where he is today, with the support of his late grandad. Not too many people can do stand up and interact with their audience like Matt. Hard work pays off👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻I’ll always support him! IYKYK
