I am gonna go against the general opinion here and say I love the suit, solely for the fact that it just looks so comfortable ! I don't know, but something about the fabric and baggy look gives it a soft insulated vibe. Another thing I really like is that it doesn't have that fake metal abs shine, it always looked fake and almost toy-ish to me, this suit's lack of muscle definition gives me All-Star Superman's suit vibe which also lacked muscle definition while ironically having one of the most powerful version of Superman in fiction.
Things worth remembering for these costumes: 1. Actors normally have multiple set costumes for different purposes, some are more flexible and loose for action, others more rigged. This is all usually edited in post production (great example, Sam Wilson’s Captain America costume collar did not look tight and had to be edited). 2. We do not know the overall plan (story) for this film, and some of that may factor in to the design choices. How Kal functions in this world may be similar to how he did in kingdom come. 3. Again, we don’t know the story, so the Superman costume will likely be different going forward, if not by the end of the film. I appreciate you guys’ content, keep up the great work!
The guy with glasses is Ron Troupe. He’s one of the regular reporters in the bullpen. He had a small role in Smallville but has been left out of many adaptations. I’m really glad we’re finally getting the whole Daily Planet crew. I hope this means we see a lot of Clark at the Daily Planet
The Clark Kent hair is getting so much hate lol. People are saying he looks like a Gen Z influencer and that he has the f-boy haircut. People are saying how unattractive it is and that might mean Lois has the classic first love for Superman instead of the modern versions where she falls for Clark. I prefer when Clark is overlooked by Lois because it plays into the wish fulfillment aspect of the character. I don’t care for the hair, but Clark Kent isn’t known for an iconic hairstyle, Superman is. And I like Corenswet’s Superman hair. The drastic hair difference also helps add to the disguise whereas in the comics Clark just parts his hair in the opposite direction.
Clark Kent does indeed look drastically different from Superman, which is a good thing. But I'm disappointed that they gave him that annoying alpaca hairstyle that's been so popular among teenagers these past few years.
I had the same reaction to this suit i did with the Batman (matt reeves) reveal then set photos. Hated upon arrival, then the set photos changed my mind. Even the same collar complaint lol
I really feel for them, filming in the awful summer heat. This Superman suit reminds me of what people wear when racing those sporty motorcycles. Plus it has too much yellow for my taste. But it’s not going to turn me off to the movie. Still very excited. As for Lois Lane, she looks freaking fantastic!!😃 FINALLY, a Lois Lane that looks like Lois Lane! Love her in the purple.
Liam is back and i only see him on superman and Lois. I'm So happy the S is on the back of the cape and i love the trunks. i personally love the Kingdom come logo but the traditional S would be better and i just wish the S was slightly bigger and i not the biggest fan of the collar, also with the belt on the trunks had the S besides that i love the suit.
It being bagging should not be the concern. That’s not the final product. Once it’s on screen going to look totally different. Plus I don’t think it’s all the way tighten up
Two things, 1) at the end of the CW's Crisis episode when Brandon does the Chris Reeve smile at the camera above Earth shot the background of the S is yellow not black. 2) I can't help but wonder if J. Gunn is pranking us with this suit and the one in the movie is actually going to be comic book accurate.
The material is too thick and not form fitting. There’s no musculature on the torso. The lines are also unnecessary. I would hate if it’s nanotech so much that I might refuse to watch it. But I like the colors and Corenswet’s hair looks pretty good. Also very glad to see the yellow S on the cape

@@sarathomas8499 Absolutely not true. They use a curling iron to make their hair curly, and there are also a lot of teens getting perms at hair styling salons. The salons in Romania for example have been full of teens getting perms for their broccoli hairstyles.
I’m going to stop looking at things for this film because the more I see, the less enthusiastic I am feeling. I don’t care for the suit, it looks dated, it doesn’t fit him properly, I loathe the underwear, I mean to the point they irritate me, it looks cheap. I’m getting party city cosplay from it with the S on the cape. The belt is too wide, there are bags at the joints and on the chest and stomach, sigh. I really don’t want to be negative about this, I want them to pull this off but I have to be honest, I’m turned off by what I’m seeing so far. I hope the trailer changes my mind but the cgi that’s required to fix all of this is going to be extensive, to smooth the suit out with rolls all over it in shots where he’s moving and standing still. Mr. Terrific looks fine but how one of the smartest people in the DC universe is running around in leather during the summer, how smart is he really 🤔? Thanks for the video gentlemen, I await a trailer to make my final decision on all of this.
@@El3ctr0Lun4 To help clarify, editing the suits in post-production does not mean totally editing the entire suit, otherwise the actor would be in the grey CG suit. The edits are more geared towards small wrinkles or removing wires for flight (the latter of which they did for Reeve’s suit too). This is how things have been done for the last 25 years now. Any detailed superhero costume you may have liked going back that far has had post-production editing or was filmed in a way to hide the limits of the specific suit. Making just 1 or 2 costumes would be ineffective and limiting because the costume has to look consistent across the whole film, and generally the best looking suit is not going to allow the best flexibility for the actor/stuntman, especially if they are going to be wired for flight. Fabric bunches up when people flex and bend. Some aspects of a suit used for non-action scenes may look better but be very brittle if used in a fight scene. Furthermore, while we all love and adore the Reeve Superman, the costume fit the time in which it was made based on the general public understanding of Superman at the time and what worked on film at the time. Even in its day, it was a more advanced and elaborate costume than what George Reeves had in the 50s. Now, all these years later, with audiences having seen much more detailed costuming across film & television, and the comics from which Superman originates evolving the Superman costume as well, no major studio producers are going to agree to putting Superman in the same costume he had 45 years ago in the movie they’re spending so much money on, especially since the more advanced digital cameras used nowadays would highlight the flaws so much more. With the level of action and stunts that expected out of action films now, the idea that Superman needs a costume that at least looks like it’ll hold up to the intensity of whatever he’s fighting/crashing into is not an invalid one.

Agreed on fixing any ugly folds with CG. They'll be going over every inch of this film with a comb. Too much is riding on this for WB for them not to.
