My ex wife and I made it 24 years before she cheated and bailed. It was crushing and took me about 2 years to even start to feel normal. After you raise kids and countless dogs and cats and pets and all the sports and holidays and then it’s like gone. Took awhile for me to even want to think about “rebuilding”

@est After all this time and divorce boards etc what I’ve learned is there is never a good reason to cheat. We recently chatted (texted) as we do have 2 kids together and I basically told her if you were unhappy I get that, we both weren’t really happy, but the cheating was the worst part. I could’ve taken an honest breakup much better. But lying and cheating after 24 years is really damaging. After 8 years I still don’t like to think about it
@@idjilju2835 thank you, yes I’m much better. Happily single and comfortable being single. I’m happy I didn’t monkey branch right into another relationship. I date and have fun but at 57 I’m not thinking long term or marriage again. Kind of felt I did that already and quite frankly the women I’ve dated about my age are usually in the same boat. We’ve raised families already. And I don’t want to risk what I have left..house, money etc

Glad she’s healing from her heart break and disappointment; but it’s good that she stays respectful to her ex and their relationship; things do happen, people grow apart, money definitely didn’t make them happy, so it’s okay that each go their separate ways and live life to their fullest; you only have one life to live; I wish them both happiness, forgiveness and friendship as they move on with their separate lives 🙏🏾

I would want to ask her what her regrets and highlights were from the marriage, how would she have done things differently, what advice would you give your younger self now? Were you aware of any way you had been manipulated into your role? What do you do when you realise you have invested so much into the relationship and how do you work through it with all the social pressure from your background?
You're offering opinions with half the facts. @MelindaGates married @BillGates in spite of friendship with #JeffreyEpstein. She was aware Bill & Jeff were besties "before" wedding & married him anyway. @GeorginaChapman also married @HarveyWeinstein knowing of his violence but stays out of public eye. Paul M That is not always true in my opinion If one spouse cheats on another spouse then would you say there are two sides , if one spouse verbally, mentally, physically abuses the other spouse would you say there are two sides . NO you would tell that spouse to leave the relationship people get divorced for a reason. I may not know all the reasons why people get divorced but we don’t know what goes on behind closed doors.

Well I'm glad she left him. It's really hard to go thru a breakup, especially one that u didn't want that happened because you were cheated on. Betrayed. And humiliated in front of your friends, family, and the public eye. I'm happy for her that she doesn't have to be with a liar and a cheat anymore. And I'm glad that she is getting money from him. Hopefully she stays generous 🙏
