  • Maggie Bonanomi’s wool-applique designs are made with wools, linens, and homespuns-all fabrics that instantly warm and charm-and her hand-sewn appliques couldn’t be easier to stitch. She uses just ONE type and color of thread to sew all of her welcoming designs, and her go-to stitch is a whipstitch. We recently caught up with Maggie and she showed us how easy her wool applique is to sew-even stitching down those skinny stems! Take a look at her pure-and-simple approach and see more from her book Pure & Simple: www.shopmartin...

Can't quite make out the thread choice, coats and Clark (summer?) Brown?

Which type of thread-all-purpose or quilting or something other?

Hi Karen, Maggie uses Coats and Clark 100% polyester thread in Summer Brown. Thanks for your question!
