I'm in AZ so I'm unlucky enough to be in the Western Region. We won our State tournament twice (baseball not softball) but both times we lost in the Regionals to the team that won the whole LLWS. Once to Southern California and the next time we lost to Hawaii. We could have been the second-best team in the world twice but didn't make it out of the Regionals 😢

There are a lot of negative comments about Peterson's attitude. I don't think it was so much a bad attitude... I would much rather coach a kid who cares about the game ( as she does) than a bunch of kids who won't stay off their phones and giggling/playing around in the outfield. I love her attitude toward that game... shows she cares.

Since softballs are bigger and the bats are often a different material they do not go nearly as far. Plus girls are known to have less upper body strength.
