I imagine the final fight with Gabriel to be unwinnable by attacking. He is so fueled by passion, he simply refuses to die to your weapons. You'd have to survive the final few minutes Gabriel has before the divine light finally leaves him, and ultimately kills him.
**Gabriel, Fallen Angel** **Type: Supreme Angel** Finally conscious of his actions, Gabriel's resent faded in his final hours. He had done so much, but it was all for naught. What "Will Of God" was there to serve now? As the last sparks of the father's light flickered within his soul, Gabriel descended to Treachery, to face the machine one last time. The wake of destruction it had left rendered hell a barren wasteland, with very little fresh blood to spill. Gabriel was at peace with his inevitable end. One final time, he fought valiantly, but he knew the truth was that he was already dead. This was not his battle to win. Gabriel offered himself to the machine, and it took the last sparks of life out of him. His blood seeped into the icy ground, and the crimson streams served to fuel his rival one final time. He may not have been able to atone for his sins, but at the very least, Gabriel finally felt closure. **Strategy** -Though Gabriel is stronger than before, his strategy remains the same, so similar tactics to his previous fights will work here. -His attacks are fast and lethal, but parrying them can deal a good amount of damage to Gabriel. -Gabriel will offer windows to heal while attacking, so it's optimal to take advantage of when he's undefended.

Keep him alive as long as possible. - When Gabriel stops attacking, take some time to recover your hard damage. Don’t go in with attacks that might hurt yourself. - Try to parry his swords away from him when he throws them, to maintain blood for as long as possible.

This is the best Gabriel track, no question. The emotion in the strings is so intense yet so muffled as duty is put above emotion but it still manages to shine through. It barely sounds like divine intervention anymore but that’s what makes it so good, it marks Gabriel as a new person and as one who has accepted his fate. The album cover truly shows this and it has an oddly powerful amount of emotion, not in the action of piercing oneself to kill another but in the posture of both, the shape of an unending hunger meeting the action of justice. This has hyped me up incredibly for 9-2 and I can’t wait to see more music from you.
I feel like in 9-2, theres would be an entrance to purgatory, and when gabe dies, he takes the entirety of 9-2 with him, effectively sealing the entrance to purgatory and stopping the machines from destroying purgatory and heaven.
"The light is fizzling out. Hell is nearly empty. We both know how this will end. There is nothing left for either of us here. Shall we do this one last time?"
V1 MODEL: TYPE: SUPREME MACHINE Although never fully built or used in production, the V1 model was created to be the greatest machine that could kill, destroy and end all life. Despite never being released into the Great War, it followed its primary function and seeked for enemies and blood, when the pit of hell opened, there was only 3 things in its mind: *MANKIND IS DEAD* *BLOOD IS FUEL* *HELL IS FULL* Now, after the end of gabriel, hell and heaven, there is no more hope to survive, as V1 laid in despair of the icy floor and waited till it stopped functioning, knowing, it completed its function, but what was left? *MANKIND IS GONE* *BLOOD WAS FUEL* *HELL IS EMPTY* … … … *THIS IS THE ONLY WAY IT COULD’VE ENDED*
Honestly I think the interpretation I'm getting from this is that the game ends with both Gabriel and V1 dying, killing each other. Honestly that'd be sick.
even if they dont kill eachother theyre both on a timer as v1 will run out of blood and gabriel out of light unless hell decides to give v1 an indefinite amount of blood or something (theres oceans of blood in violence so its possible)
Gabriel, Rogue Beyond Lies Dialogue: "...I've given it enough thought, machine." "At this point, it's just the two of us. Heaven is dead to me, and I am the only one who forsees this world's fate." "..No, it's just me. You're nothing.. and yet you've caused so much." "..It's hard to wrap my mind around it, but I think I understand." "You blinded me with my own rage.. Something I couldn't control." "But after this revision, I've come to conclude one thing. If I die.." "Then you.." "You. Will come with me." "Hahahaha.. It's foolish to see I hadn't even realized that.." "Even if I had enjoyed the trouble you gave me..." *He falls silent for a brief moment, finding his words.* "The father is gone. Unseen..." "Machine, the truth is.." *"WE'RE ALREADY DEAD!!"* Strategy: Gabriel, after a revision remains hard to read. His forms of attack are unknown, but one thing is certain - He's not as reckless as he was before. New Attacks: Pierce Gabriel stabs forward with Splendor after a teleport, summoning a manifested copy of Justice within V1 during the stab before ripping both blades out of V1 after dashing away, doing 80 damage. This attack is unparriable, and on hit immobilizes V1 for it's duration. However, it can only be used in very short ranges. Bloody Cleave Gabriel fuses his swords quickly, holding it idly in his hand as he summons a manifested copy of Splendor. The next time V1 uses a close ranged attack, Gabriel will parry the attack with the fused blade and tear through V1's body slowly, blood spilling out continously as the blade cleaves through the metal. Does 70 damage if a gun is used at point blank range, and instakills if he is punched. The guard can be removed with 20 explosive damage. Crushing Punch Gabriel kicks V1 forward after a teleport, teleporting above V1 and slamming them straight into the ground before stabbing Justice into them and flinging them away. Does 60 damage if all 3 attacks hit. False Divinity Gabriel uses a variant of Light Combo, this time with 6 hits and doing 45 damage. If the finisher attack is parried, Gabriel will take far less damage, and will use his counter-attack if active. Barrage Gabriel will repeatedly stab V1 in the chest with a flurry of strikes before uppercutting V1 and fusing his blades before throwing them at V1, also summoning a manifested copy of the fused blade, and then throwing it. Gabriel will attempt to avoid the projectile when parried back at him. All in all, the flurry does 40 damage and the fused blades do their normal damage. If Gabriel is about to throw the second fused blade, he will parry the projectile with the manifested copy of the blade and return it, doing 50 damage. He will then call his swords to him. Other than that, uses his regular attacks and also takes less damage from parries. However, his taunt dialogue is also different. "ALL FOR WHAT?!?" "I WON'T DIE WITHOUT A STRUGGLE!!" "I WILL NOT STOP!!" "DANCE FOR ME, MACHINE!" "I can't stop!" "Give me one last fight!!" "It doesn't matter!" "Damn everything.. damn it all." "THERE IS NO LIGHT TO BE DEFIED!!" "Give this a meaning, machine!" "Fight like this is your last day!" "Spare no mercy, machine!" "Tear me apart, you animal!!" "Violence is the only way we live on with fufilled purpose!!"
“This is it; Machine. We both know so much better than to follow a god that, quite frankly… is not coming back. Machine, or, perhaps, V1, as you are named; you were humanity’s ultimate creation. You bested King Minos, and King Sisyphus, with mere ease. We are not bound by the Lord, or humanity. No more. Now. It’s just me and you, at the end of Hell. Show me what you have learnt.” /// ARCHANGEL GABRIEL ///
What I feel like the end of ULTRAKILL would be like: After killing Gabriel and consuming every drop of blood left from him, no more demons or angels are alive, leaving you to go to P-3 where all the other machines that are alive are trying to make a blood farm to sustain their selves. However, V1 being a war machine, only knowing how to kill and consume, destroys all the other machines, and makes his way to the Prime Soul, which will probably be the hardest thing to fight in the game considering they saw you kill millions, if not hundreds of millions, to make it to them. After this fight, V1 searches through the rest of Hell, finding nothing that bleeds in the process, and loses all of its power.

Gabriel, Archangel Of Heretics I absolutely love this fan soundtrack. It really sounds like the ultimate, the final version of Gabriel’s theme. Gabriel, completely enraged at a creature of steel who had taken all of his glory, his strength, and changed his perspective on heaven and committed a treacherous act upon the council. At this point, Gabriel is truly dead. The light is gone inside him, and now V1 and Gabriel are at the deepest, coldest layer to where the fire is gone. (Also liked how you used the Glory leitmotif.)
“You and I, at the end of the world” Really doesn’t miss, it fits showing how you’ve ventured and slaughtered the entirety of hell with mankind already gone, it truly is you and Gabriel at the end of the world. (Ps: Drop a solo video for it because it slaps 🙏)
“Greed, Wrath, Violence, Heresy, Treachery. Hell is almost fully gone by you and your kind. But you’re different, you’ve helped me to see how the council of heaven is nothing but lies. Now that I’ve put a stop to this, the kingdom of heaven can now live peacefully in that last moments of all things. You’ve also shown me the glory and thrill of a struggle, which I haven’t felt for the longest time. So, machine, before you evidently take my life, give me one last fight, for this shall ring out for all living beings to hear. Only one of us is leaving alive, so give me all you’ve got.” -GABRIEL, THE FALLEN ANGEL.
It occurs to me that we haven't really seen any "angelic" power from Gabriel yet... Yes he is an outstanding fighter and he can teleport, but what about more moves that an angel can do? The virtues can smite the player from heaven, so one could only assume Gabriel also has similar powers if he is desperate enough to use them.
We met Gabriel in Gluttony, bearing a role he didn't need, but took anyway, that others could have had and thrived from. Then, we met him again in Heresy, where he reconsiders his allegiance with heaven. Having committed the highest betrayal, he descends to the deepest part of Treachery. poetic
This is absolutely incredible! It gets me so excited for the final fight. You really captured the feeling of the prior two themes but made this one feel so much more important. This really is the end.
WHAT IF, Gabriel in 9-2 isn't actually the final boss, and, as you go into the last elevator, it fades to black as you expect a cutscene, but it shows the descent thing again (the one that appears before every level before you hit the ground), but the arrow doesn't land on anything as you appear in a completely dark and fleshy room, and the final boss is hell itself, summoning puppets of all the previous bosses.
"Machine, we have fought long enough." "The torture that is Hell has few resources, and as the Holy One's power gets ripped from me..." "Let's fight, not for asserting dominance, but rather fun. For hell is dieing, blood is scarce." *"And today we end this never-ending crusade."*
4:12 I love this part very much, going from Divine Intervention to Requiem played by his own instruments. I also like to think that the "We're already dead" part, with the flashing lights (epilepsy warning) is V1's vision bugging. Having devoured the upper layers of Hell, and is taking some good damage from Gabriel fighting valiantly. Especially fitting for the soon-to-be end of Gabriel, soon Hell, and eventually, V1.
This song feels like a full of joy dramatic stage scene all the leitmotifs reminiscing that all this journey for blood is over yet at the same time that Gabriel wich such passionate combat skills will die gladly fighting its always hungry fucking insingnificant nemesis a truly spectacular well done job this piece is and i want to express my gratitude upon thee with a loik/sub keep on making these pls.
So wait if Gabriel kills v1 cannonicly does he just stand there like "so what do I do now? This was supposed to be our final duel, I die in another hour anyways"
Gabriel: "You emptied Hell, how will you power yourself now? As my light dims over time, so will your fuel supply. You lost, machine!" V1: "Nah, there's still heaven." *begins ascending* Gabriel: "Bruh."
0:28 "You and I, machine... this is the end. You cut down you enemies, not for revenge or malice. You do it because you have no choice. That's the difference between us, machine." "I will fight once more, and I shall fall... I wouldn't want it any other way." "Come, let me show you what freedom means to me." 1:25 *Boss Bar Appears* _Gabriel, the Unshackled_ Even thought this stuff here probably won't happen, this final showdown will be one for the ages. The weight of it will be insane, and I will most likely be sad once it is over. This game strangely has like, no real narrative but also a really compelling character in Gabriel. He's simple at first, but it quickly becomes really sad as he realises he was a victim of his own thirst for power and control. The final fight might be the first time he would actually be fighting for something bigger than himself, much as he claimed he fought for God: to stop YOU. Honestly in Ultrakill, V1 is straight up the villain in the specific story being told. Gabriel did do some shit in the past too of course but he's on the path of a possible redemption, while you descend further down into depravity.
for the boss fight it would be the last level and no gabriel, you beat the level wondering if this is it and as you go down the hellivator your score comes up, but suddenly gabriel slashes the screen, and you fight him while falling down, eventually landing in the lowest pit of hell, only on a throbbing flesh platform with nothing but a dark void around you with eyes scattered watching your every move. Gabriel comes down stabbing his sword into the flesh and one last time.. screams his war cry. As he screams the void turns bright and it turns out you’re in the council’s arena (idk what it’s called) with all the husks of the dead council watching your fight with the fallen angel. Phase 1 will be Act 1 gabriel and Act 2 gabriel mixed together, but in a permanent enraged state, When his first health bar is depleted he will move to phase 1.2 Phase 1.2 is where he teleports away and you have to fight the husks of the council members charging the battle field, once there all dead phase 2 begins. Phase 2 is gabriel slowly falling apart, his attacks gradually are slowing down and becoming weaker, during this phase you can see parts of him falling off and turning into holy golden dust. Once he is fully weakened he will kneel down inforunt of you at 1 health, and that’s when you deal the final blow. There’s no music after you kill him, the only sound is nothing. The gate opens and you traverse into it. The last stage / credits will be named “*The Fire Is Gone*” and will consist of a long hall, V1 slowly walks down it as his blood runs low after killing everyone. he starts to hallucinate the bosses he had previously killed, before coming to the end of the hall where the very revolver that started this game lays beside a branch of the tree of life.
As you arrive into 9-2 you walk into a pristine, holy castle as the first theme starts playing. You walk forward and start hearing Gabriel talk. You end up in a long hallway as Gabriel finishes talking, you walk through as the last part of You and I at the End of the World starts. You get to the end of the hallway expecting Gabriel, but just an empty throne. The music stops and then, a chandelier from the ceiling falls on the floor as it starts to catch fire. you see Gabriel coming out of it, as he starts talking. He finally emerges from the fire and then he starts the fight.
i just want gabe in the final level(maybe) of the game to be like sisyphus and minos, acknowledging that there are restarts and each time u press 'r' to restart gabe will say smth
Something about this song makes me feel like his boss bar would be one of three things. Gabriel. Gabriel, the Last. Gabriel, the Final Hurdle. One of those sounds like it would be the bossbar title.
At the end of hell. 2 beings, one made by the hand of god, and the other made by the hand of man fought at the end hell. It didn't matter who would emerge victorious, It didn't matter if one killed the other, both of them were on borrowed time that could not be extended. So it was that 2 beings made by the hands of others danced in a place where they could no longer be heard. "Machine, I thank you, for what? For letting me see the world one last time, The dust begins to settle, the blood begins to dry as. Don't you get it? We are all that remains, and after this, nothing will. So either you fall now and I die or you kill me and perish under the collapse of hell" "Machine... No... V1 may this fight be our last, no more running. No more struggle. NO MORE. IT ALL ENDS NOW, MAY THE LIGHT OF GOD SHINE YET AGAIN!!! For when it does... I shall be the one to extingwish it."
I fucking love the idea of the p rank being mandatory, and if you lose even once, gabriel defeats you for good Not even hell itself can dare to rob the win from the clash of these rivals
imagine at the start of 9-1 it just reads "CRESCENDO" instead of "ACT 3 CRESCENDO" and for 9-2 it reads "CLIMAX" instead of "ACT 3 CLIMAX". it would be epic as fuck.

This is what too much judgement looks like
**Gabriel, Fallen Angel**
**Type: Supreme Angel**
Finally conscious of his actions, Gabriel's resent faded in his final hours.
**Strategy**
-Though Gabriel is stronger than before, his strategy remains the same, so similar tactics to his previous fights will work here.
-His attacks are fast and lethal, but parrying them can deal a good amount of damage to Gabriel.
-Gabriel will offer windows to heal while attacking, so it's optimal to take advantage of when he's undefended.

Gabriel, Rogue Beyond Lies
Dialogue:
"...I've given it enough thought, machine."
"At this point, it's just the two of us. Heaven is dead to me, and I am the only one who forsees this world's fate."
"..No, it's just me. You're nothing.. and yet you've caused so much."
"..It's hard to wrap my mind around it, but I think I understand."
"You blinded me with my own rage.. Something I couldn't control."
"But after this revision, I've come to conclude one thing. If I die.."
"Then you.."
"You. Will come with me."
"Hahahaha.. It's foolish to see I hadn't even realized that.."
"Even if I had enjoyed the trouble you gave me..."
*He falls silent for a brief moment, finding his words.*
"The father is gone. Unseen..."
"Machine, the truth is.."
*"WE'RE ALREADY DEAD!!"*
Strategy:
Gabriel, after a revision remains hard to read. His forms of attack are unknown, but one thing is certain - He's not as reckless as he was before.
New Attacks:
Pierce
Gabriel stabs forward with Splendor after a teleport, summoning a manifested copy of Justice within V1 during the stab before ripping both blades out of V1 after dashing away, doing 80 damage. This attack is unparriable, and on hit immobilizes V1 for it's duration. However, it can only be used in very short ranges.
Bloody Cleave
Gabriel fuses his swords quickly, holding it idly in his hand as he summons a manifested copy of Splendor.
Crushing Punch
Gabriel kicks V1 forward after a teleport, teleporting above V1 and slamming them straight into the ground before stabbing Justice into them and flinging them away. Does 60 damage if all 3 attacks hit.
False Divinity
Gabriel uses a variant of Light Combo, this time with 6 hits and doing 45 damage. If the finisher attack is parried, Gabriel will take far less damage, and will use his counter-attack if active.
Barrage
Gabriel will repeatedly stab V1 in the chest with a flurry of strikes before uppercutting V1 and fusing his blades before throwing them at V1, also summoning a manifested copy of the fused blade, and then throwing it.
"ALL FOR WHAT?!?"
"I WON'T DIE WITHOUT A STRUGGLE!!"
"I WILL NOT STOP!!"
"DANCE FOR ME, MACHINE!"
"I can't stop!"
"Give me one last fight!!"
"It doesn't matter!"
"Damn everything.. damn it all."
"THERE IS NO LIGHT TO BE DEFIED!!"
"Give this a meaning, machine!"
"Fight like this is your last day!"
"Spare no mercy, machine!"
"Tear me apart, you animal!!"
"Violence is the only way we live on with fufilled purpose!!"
Show me what you have learnt.”
/// ARCHANGEL GABRIEL ///
What I feel like the end of ULTRAKILL would be like:
After killing Gabriel and consuming every drop of blood left from him, no more demons or angels are alive, leaving you to go to P-3 where all the other machines that are alive are trying to make a blood farm to sustain their selves.

Gabriel, Archangel Of Heretics
I absolutely love this fan soundtrack.

@@DustyLOL did not think people would like it this much, but you can listen to it by itself on spotify
Actual fucking GODLY theme here, him ending the fight by stabbing V1 through his own body would be CRAZY!
Conjuring swords, spears, and axes?
Yeah, like several of them from the sky to make it rain swords
We met Gabriel in Gluttony, bearing a role he didn't need, but took anyway, that others could have had and thrived from.
Then, we met him again in Heresy, where he reconsiders his allegiance with heaven.
Having committed the highest betrayal, he descends to the deepest part of Treachery.

I also like to think that the "We're already dead" part, with the flashing lights (epilepsy warning) is V1's vision bugging. *Boss Bar Appears*
_Gabriel, the Unshackled_
Even thought this stuff here probably won't happen, this final showdown will be one for the ages.
Gabriel did do some shit in the past too of course but he's on the path of a possible redemption, while you descend further down into depravity.
this fits the already set music really well. great job man.
for the boss fight it would be the last level and no gabriel, you beat the level wondering if this is it and as you go down the hellivator your score comes up, but suddenly gabriel slashes the screen, and you fight him while falling down, eventually landing in the lowest pit of hell, only on a throbbing flesh platform with nothing but a dark void around you with eyes scattered watching your every move. Gabriel comes down stabbing his sword into the flesh and one last time.. screams his war cry. As he screams the void turns bright and it turns out you’re in the council’s arena (idk what it’s called) with all the husks of the dead council watching your fight with the fallen angel.
Phase 1 will be Act 1 gabriel and Act 2 gabriel mixed together, but in a permanent enraged state, When his first health bar is depleted he will move to phase 1.2
Phase 1.2 is where he teleports away and you have to fight the husks of the council members charging the battle field, once there all dead phase 2 begins.
Nah, this would be fire (even if is gone)
the inclusion of 3 colors in the background is actually quite fitting
we making it out of the 9th layer with this one
Mankind is dead.
Blood was fuel.
Hell is empty...
The fire is gone.
The Light has died
The Blood is gone
The Inferno is empty
i cant wait for act 3 full release
At the end of hell.
2 beings, one made by the hand of god, and the other made by the hand of man fought at the end hell.
It didn't matter who would emerge victorious, It didn't matter if one killed the other, both of them were on borrowed time that could not be extended.
So it was that 2 beings made by the hands of others danced in a place where they could no longer be heard.
"Machine, I thank you, for what? For letting me see the world one last time, The dust begins to settle, the blood begins to dry as. Don't you get it? We are all that remains, and after this, nothing will.
So either you fall now and I die or you kill me and perish under the collapse of hell"
"Machine... No... V1 may this fight be our last, no more running. No more struggle. NO MORE. IT ALL ENDS NOW, MAY THE LIGHT OF GOD SHINE YET AGAIN!!!
For when it does... I shall be the one to extingwish it."
I fucking love the idea of the p rank being mandatory, and if you lose even once, gabriel defeats you for good
Not even hell itself can dare to rob the win from the clash of these rivals
The motifs from Violence's levels works so well here
Dude what are you talking about
Ultrakill players dont find motif where there arent any challenge(impossible)

"Ah, back again so soon, Machine? Let us have a fight, for old time's sake."
Our fight have no porpoise
All is gone
