I have a Pre-K Academy. This summer a summer camp and in fall Online school. I’m hoping within the next two years I have an actual private or charter school. That is my goal that is my dream. That is what I’m working towards. I love this post Thankyou.

Great advice . That let’s go stage is the scariest stage but starting slow to build up to it makes a lot of sense . 😊and makes my goal seem more attainable .

I’ve established the name, type, and desired curriculum, but I’m struggling with finding a community and working on the business plan. I feel frustrated with this and am worried. Due to my sons special needs not being met and other parents I have encountered that have had to pull their children out of school. I want to start a school for kids with special needs and learning disabilities, I do not have an educational background but have experience with homeschooling and unique ideas, a vision of what our kids need. I’d like to apply for a government grant but wanted to ask if you had to have educational background to do so?
I have a non-profit tutoring program. We lost our brick n mortar location during the pandemic. We want to specialize in a program geared towards children on the autism spectrum.

I know I have two children on the spectrum and specifically they learn better online. It’s less distracting there and they’re comfortable setting their home.. you should look into it. I don’t know if that something that you’re interested in but it could be a step to get you where you want to be. That’s what I’m doing now I’m taking different steps. hoping that I’ll get my private or charter school in the next couple years.
That is the hard part. My suggestion is to approach some churches or other non profits/orgs and see if you can expand into one of them to increase your enrollment while saving and/or applying for a line (I don’t suggest that, me personally). Also check into the vela education fund.
Hey really need your help . I am an indian and everyschool here is all about jee. Jee is an entrance exam for like every indian in engineering.many kids are forced or go through this because they don't even know what their dream is . I wanted to establish a school something like non bookish knowledge but something practical. And also having kids do several things to make them realise their dream and also having a seperate class for sports students as they skip a few classes, its better if they learn seperately ....
I’ve registered with the irs as a nonprofit, I’m solving for my ein and 501c3 tomorrow.I already have my business plan and have started scouting the properties

I’ve given myself 5-7 years, primarily because I find a company willing to give me $137k a year until the school opens. The building I want to acquire was once a school and has 59 classrooms. It’s $850k. I have to find my advisory board. Sorry for bombarding the comment section. I just want this to be successful

Keep dreaming, but make sure you are putting in all on paper. It’s so much you can do in this stage with no pressure…just your time and imagination as the investment.
