I absolutely LOVE going to the grocery store and markets when I travel. It is one of the coolest ways to just learn about a place and living there. 😊😊😊
It’s so much fun seeing grocery stores in other countries. It’s also beautiful seeing whales swimming free in their environment. Thank you for taking us along.
Two years ago I did a bicycling excursion there on the old road (no cars anymore) in mostly rain but the scenery and ride were amazing! At 73 I still love the bicycling excursions.
Tony, another great video! I love the way you film - i feel like i’m really there, walking with you. The whales were spectacular! I am so impressed by that grocery store, and appreciate you showing us so much of what they were selling. You know, licorice is very popular in Iceland - as you found out earlier when you bought that mystery chocolate bar! Gotta finish the video now to see the Lego. Thank you so much!
You had such a nice day when you were there... we had rain and wind, with hints that the sun might appear, and that made things less 'exploratory' for our group. But there were great hiking trails outside of town as well, and fun to be had! And now, I want to book another cruise back just to shop at that grocery store that I didn't get to see!
Dear Tony and Don! What a Vantastic excursion! I’m enjoying both of your videos! So nice to see you having a really fantastic Fantastic cruise! Greetings for Jenny B! 👍😎And Legos to boot!💥💥
Iceland is on my bucket list so watching your videos is a great way to get a sense of what we’re in store for 😊 Loving the content as always and look forward to watching a new episode each morning. Big up “travels with Tony” 😂
We were there a month ago and went into each of the shops you showed. Brought back some nice memories. We had the same three ports in Iceland, except we had them in reverse to what you're doing.
Great whale watching! You and Jenny B should head to Maui in January to see the whales. We could see them right from our balcony! It was amazing! And you got Lego! 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Hey Tony. I would love ❤️ to go to Iceland. They have igloo bubbles you can rent to see the northern lights (The bubble igloo hotel). You boys stay out of trouble and thanks for the whale watching. 😁
While I know Iceland is formed by volcanoes, like Hawaii, those mountains with their tops blown off remind me of Diamond Head and it’s crater in Honolulu - a volatile past and, possibly, future. Thanks for capturing those views. And they seem to appear all around your excursion. That excursion was great - whales and beautiful setting. Yes, Dorito’s is part of Lay’s. All owned by PepsiCo.
Great video Tony! Connie & I always love to go into the local grocery store and see what we can find. When we were in Australia earlier this year, the go-to store was Woolworths!! A blast from the past.
Our first cruise after being away from cruising for 20 years was to Antarctica. YES, it was expensive, but by the end of the 14 day adventure, we had seen as many whales, penguins and seals as one could hope for in TEN cruises elsewhere...as a matter of fact, we had a pod of 5 whales following alongside our ship at one point, and it was life-changing! So if wildlife spotting is important to you, an Antarctica cruise is *well* worth the added expense. I guarantee you will have a hard time believing it is the same planet you live on day-to-day!
Hi Tony, thank you for another great video. This is better than Greenland! I didn’t like that place much. I went whale watching off Sydney on a similar boat. All the best from Sydney Australia
Awesome video of the whale tail on your excursion! You missed the ice cream shop across from the grocery store but the snacks looked great. Did you see my cellphone in its turquoise case in the fjord where you got off the whale-watching ship? It slipped out of my pocket as I stepped off the boat two years ago. My recent trip was using a phone lanyard...
Love the whale watching! We are going on a blue whale tour in San Diego in a few weeks. 🐳 And will also seek out the “newly arrived from China” pandas at the zoo. 🐼
Hello Tony I'm loving this grocery shopping is the same the world over love going shopping for snacks when in port we are all the same really the world over. Happy cruise from Sydney
I really have been enjoying this series very much and the ports….but what has gotten my heart ticking is the Caribbean Princess. Sailed on her in 2006 and 2007. Soooo even tho I am taking the Sun Princess Transatlantic in 3/2025…..guess what i did? Thx to your video I just booked today the Caribbean Princess for Dec 1st 2024. Thx Tony for keeping cruising up front and center🚢🙂
Thank you so much Tony for showing us around. I would love to go to Iceland but my body is letting me down at present. 2nd hand tourism is better than just feeling frustrated. I was going to do the HAL Transatlantic trip in 2020 but Covid stopped all that at the time. Enjoy the rest of your trip. You should love Greenland! I see that you haven't tried that fermented shark etc that Icelanders love.
I love going to different countries and showing my friends what each has to offer, once I was told that I couldn't take pics in one store.....I forgot where I was..... I didn't ask why, I chose to remain civil in foreign land!
Never made it here either, but it sure is beautiful. 50 degrees is great, we were in Reykjavik in June 2021 & it was 45 degrees pretty much every day & only 1 rainy day. It was warm to me & I wore a t-shirt & long cotton pants every day & brought my rain clothes in case I needed them. The snacks looked great too, say did you like the chocolate covered licorice? In Europe they have salty licorice that I actually enjoy, but I'm not sure about chocolate covered licorice. Another treat for Icelanders is dried fish, kinda like jerky. In Vancouver I got some dried salmon & boy was it great & the Icelandic dried fish is also good.
If you actually get to tender in at Qaqortoq, Greenland, the small town grocery store they have is a pleasant little grocery store. From where you come into town from the tender dock you go straight ahead up the hill and when you get to the road, turn right and the grocery store will be right before the cross road on your left. When you leave the store you will want to take that cross road towards the water to pass through the housing area and if you then keep to the right you will circle back to the port by walking through the warehouse store district. Once you get back to the tender dock you need to head back up that hill to check out the gift shop (actually that was my first exploration area before I went to the grocery store) and wander through the carving on the hillside and the hardware type store near the back door out of the gift shop is the best place to buy the head netting that you can put over your hat when needed. You also need to wander towards the bridge over the harbor towards the cemeteries and to go up the hill to the satellite dishes. I used my head netting when going through the over grown part of the lower cemetery and other times when the flies got annoying. I enjoyed wandering around this town and including the climb up the steps to the satellite dish, I was pretty tired by the time I got back to the ship. We had heavy fog when we entered the port but it this was not on shore which is why our Hotel Director said we should start sending the tender boats in. The fog bell on the ship did ring some even when we were in port. We had a Greenland meteorologist on board the "RCCL Voyager of the Seas" during our September 2022 cruise and I think that is what made such a difference in our ability to do what we were able to do in Greenland.
I absolutely LOVE going to the grocery store and markets when I travel. It is one of the coolest ways to just learn about a place and living there. 😊😊😊
I do to. It drives my wife nuts, but then she realizes how cool it is. Comes from 40 years in the grocery store business.
I love my grocery store stops when traveling…it makes me feel like I live there and that somehow I have upgraded my life.
It’s so much fun seeing grocery stores in other countries. It’s also beautiful seeing whales swimming free in their environment. Thank you for taking us along.
Dons Always smiling in the background.
Thanks for the video
I think this is the quietest excursion I have ever seen. Thanks for taking us along with you and Don!
Really loving this Lido Loca cruise series! Hubby and I have now added an Iceland cruise to our "hopes for the future." ❤😍
Oh my gosh!! Loved the whale watching and the grocery store shopping! So awesome! Thanks Tony!
That whale tale is a beautiful thing. I love Iceland and it's Whales.
Two years ago I did a bicycling excursion there on the old road (no cars anymore) in mostly rain but the scenery and ride were amazing! At 73 I still love the bicycling excursions.
Hi Tony. Perfect day for whale watching. Congratulations on the Lego score. Thank you for taking us along.
Love the worldwide Lego hunt!
The whales are out there assembled for a cruise passenger watching tour.
This is too funny!! Interesting perspective!
@@tammyd7400I always wonder what they would make of it 😂
I am so really loving these videos. I think T. H. Lawrence would love this.

Thanks for taking us along. I enjoy going through grocery stores around the world, so interesting. Love the whale watching.
Gorgeous little town. ❤
I don't even feel like I have to travel anymore....I can just go on TH-cam and follow you :) ahaha so relaxing.
and much cheaper! I'm glad Tony and Don were willing to take us all along.
@@lindabradford9591 yeah me too ahaha

Love the doritos where called "cool american flavor"! LOL!
Dear Tony and Don! What a Vantastic excursion! I’m enjoying both of your videos! So nice to see you having a really fantastic Fantastic cruise! Greetings for Jenny B! 👍😎And Legos to boot!💥💥
Saw more whales on your blog than we did on our whale watching excursion. In isafjordur, we saw all sorts of waterfalls
Tony, your videos are fantastic!
Your LEGO collection must be the biggest thing ever …❤
Ok..now you've got me..I now get the Iceland thing...
I can't wait to see your Lego video!
Iceland is on my bucket list so watching your videos is a great way to get a sense of what we’re in store for 😊 Loving the content as always and look forward to watching a new episode each morning. Big up “travels with Tony” 😂
I saw puffins in the Orkneys. They’re almost too cute to be real. Great Iceland vlog!
Thank you, I enjoy your excursions and cruise news
Whale watching is awesome! 🐳 We have a boat that goes out daily six months of the year from just down the street from where we live. 😊
Watched right to the end...had a little chocolate mustache going... love it❤😊
THANK YOU for a great tour!
We were there a month ago and went into each of the shops you showed. Brought back some nice memories. We had the same three ports in Iceland, except we had them in reverse to what you're doing.
Thank you for the detail on the videos. It is totally giving me an inside perspective on making my tour selections❤
My Walmart in Murray Kentucky has Tony’s chocolates! They are good!!
I love these videos. Thank you for taking me along!
These videos are giving me life while I wait for my next cruise. September is so far away. 😢
Combining the two loves of my life, cruises and Legos! Great job Tony!
I love how you and Don go for the stores to get snacks. Ha. Glad you found LEGO also.
Great whale watching! You and Jenny B should head to Maui in January to see the whales. We could see them right from our balcony! It was amazing! And you got Lego! 🎉🎉🎉🎉

I got video of it. :)
Oh yes, I'm glad you took your jacket. 😂😂
Yeah Lego! See you at the Bricks!
Yes! Get off the Couch! You May take Root and never leave There is a wonderful world to explore
beautiful
Fun fact.... ice land is nice and cool, green land is cold 🥶 and wet. They switched out to confuse other settlers
Loved the whale tail!!❤❤❤
The beauty and majesty of whales calms my soul. Hawaii in winter is the bomb. 🐋
I doubt if i ever go to Iceland to see the whales. Thanks for the video. Loved it.
Hummus chips are great, the balsamic vinegar in particular, they are gluten free as well 🎉
While I know Iceland is formed by volcanoes, like Hawaii, those mountains with their tops blown off remind me of Diamond Head and it’s crater in Honolulu - a volatile past and, possibly, future. Thanks for capturing those views. And they seem to appear all around your excursion.
That excursion was great - whales and beautiful setting.
Yes, Dorito’s is part of Lay’s. All owned by PepsiCo.
Lay's are everywhere. My wife got me a monthly snack box with snacks from various countries. There are crazy flavors of Lay's chips out there.
Thanks for sharing this video with us and I’m glad you found your Legos❤😂
Again, another fantastic adventure…thx for bringing us along! Never thought of cruising Iceland…you have changed our minds❤❤❤.
Thank you Tony..that was enjoyable for me while I'm sitting on the couch!!
Beauty video. You're so in your element!
Great video Tony! Connie & I always love to go into the local grocery store and see what we can find. When we were in Australia earlier this year, the go-to store was Woolworths!! A blast from the past.
Thanks!
Wow! Thanks so much!
I will be there in a couple of weeks.
I saw puffin while fishing in Seward, Alaska. It was amazing to see them.
We founded puréed salmon and olive oil in a bottle at an Aldi in the Canary Islands this spring.
Thank you, Tony. Being from Maryland, I would have tried the Maryland Chunkies. 😁
You got some great photos and video of the whales!

They have great chocolate bars at that grocery store that were made in Iceland. It was one of our best gift stops
So Cool!
Tone Loc, you are getting me hooked on the Iceland thing.....good work!!!
I went whale watching in Long Beach. It was a beautiful sight to see.
Hi Tony, thank you for another great video. This is better than Greenland! I didn’t like that place much. I went whale watching off Sydney on a similar boat. All the best from Sydney Australia

You are in a place I’d love to go to. I’m a geology nerd.
There is a Malt drink - quite sweet - no alcohol. Egils Malt. I had this when I visited back in 2021.
I did this cruise itinerary in June and had a fabulous time.
Yeah, the Iceland thing might have to happen. So beautiful.
Thank you so much Tony for showing us around. I would love to go to Iceland but my body is letting me down at present. 2nd hand tourism is better than just feeling frustrated. Every one of your vlogs is making me want to do this cruise more.
That looks other worldly
Great video. I wish I was there!
Thanks Tony! Safe travels!
We used to have Netto in England many moons ago! Lays are called Walkers Crips in the UK, same parent company … do try the chocolate 🍫!!
I love going to different countries and showing my friends what each has to offer, once I was told that I couldn't take pics in one store.....I forgot where I was..... I didn't ask why, I chose to remain civil in foreign land!
I am loving your trip.
We looking at the chips in a foreign store, look at the flavors. There are some "unusual" varieties out there.
That was fun. I especially liked the grocery store. Thank you
Tony’s choc is at Publix. Yummo

Go for some Icelandic red licorice vines!
