Shinon is actually not too bad a character. I kind of like him. He’s really rough around the edges, and definitely a racist jerk, but I think that’s part of the appeal as a character. I always like scenes that Shinon appears in because despite him outward being arrogant and hating Ike, he actually does care about the group and is truly a master of the bow. He lacks strong values that he follows and instead fights for individuals. He is not a traitor, he was always loyal to Griel, and later Ike, even though he hates Ike. He is really honest to a fault and I think really added to the story, without Shinon, Ike would face pretty much no opposition to him taking over, he and Gatrie leaving added a lot of depth to that moment in the story for POR.
Funny thing about Shinon, if he carries over that A support with Janaff to RD. He won’t refer to laguz as subhumans in the game.
