The way I panicked when you were waiting for me to answer the Philadelphia chromosome. Felt too real😅
I love that you laid this all out in one place! You make it sound so simple.

How did you juggle the crazy finals week with multiple exams back to back?

I honestly took it one day at a time. You will most likely be tested over the same material. So I would take one exam, get those results, see what I did wrong and how I could improve based on the breakdown, and focus on those areas during my next study session. I always have bad anxiety during tests. So I tried my best to prepare long before the tests even came so I wouldn’t have it as bad… now don’t get me wrong, I definitely still had it, but I also knew that I worked hard and tried not to let it get to me. Also, I replaced stress/anxiety thoughts with positive thoughts. I once heard, if you replace “I’m nervous, I’m scared” with excitement “I’m ready, I’m excited” it shifts in your brain and eases the anxiety because those two opposite feelings target the same receptor in the brain. I really need to find that study so I can share it.

How many hours a day did you study during didactic year?

If it was right after class, I spent maybe about 2-3 hours or so (not every day though). After lectures, I went home and re-watched the lecture on (2x) and wrote down anything I may have missed. I also had mental trauma from performing poorly in undergrad, so I kept a notebook full of re-written notes (esp of things I could not remember). If it were before a test, I would spend a day or two prior studying with my friends (quizing each other, rosh revoew, etc). But studying along the day typically made it easier for right before the test
