Jones doesn't have options, he only has Aspinall or retire. Dana has said it on several interviews before and after 309. Jones made 16M for 309, I'm assuming he'll get 20-25M for Tom and hopefully Tom gets at least 5-10M
I knowwww, they got the money and it almost sounds like the same Dana that was trying to build that sphere card to sell as many PPV’s as possible. The UFC marketing machine is in full swing!
Are you nuts ?🌰 Jon is playing us. He know the fight will be big. Jon wants that same or better than what Francis got for boxing Tyson Fury. 30-50 million. Jon is going to win the fight, get paid and break hearts. lol
@@MrAmharaall y'all Jones fans need to have your eyes checked or watch his fights in reality, bc he was slow last Saturday. He's a great deal slower than he was in the Reyes fight. It's can't be great when slow, washed up and semi-retired Stipe was still able to touch Jon's chin. Then he kept backing up straight and he just didn't have the gas tank to chase him. Someone with faster footwork and hands could do a number on Jon. Hell at one point, they were both standing in front of each other for like 20 seconds and nobody threw anything at the other person. I seriously doubt that the UFC is gonna give him 30-50 mil. Saying that makes it seem like 309 was first time u watched UFC.
As someone who has been watching the UFC since the early 2000s, I'm definitely not a Jones fan, mainly bc of the PEDs, domestic violence charges, hit and run, and other outlandish things that others would've been released for. My reasoning (and there's others that feel the same way) for saying that Jon needs to fight Tom is bc the champion defends the belt against number 1 contender after contender, hell he should know that since he was champ at LHW forever. He shouldn't be able to win the HW belt but then call out several ppl in LHW. It's either keep the belt and fight Tom or drop the belt and cherry pick the last fights off ur career. Even tho I'm not a fan of his, if he was to actually beat Tom, I'd publicly post that he's still got it. But definitely won't call him the goat, which he doesn't make my top 3. Anyone that has watched mma for more than 5 minutes knows how a fight between Jon and Alex goes. Jon's gonna take him down and try to crush his skull with elbows or he's gonna grab the neck and choke him out. There's still one name that he said last week that I'm still confused about. He's saying that he wants fights to improve his legacy, can someone explain why he mentioned Jamahal Hill's name. That fight does nothing for his tarnished legacy. That would be like Rich Franklin saying that he wants legacy fights but he calls out Matt Serra instead of GSP. Granted Jamahal did win the belt, but he kinda got lucky when he got his shot. I never heard anyone say that he was the best light heavyweight in the division. Jiri, Ankalaev, and I'd heard Rakic's name (didn't fully agree) that was better than Hill. Unfortunately he got injured before he could defend against anyone so not sure if he was truly on a champ level or not. I know someone probably gonna say, but Jon said that he'll give up the belt to fix Alex. I don't guess Jon has heard Alex talking about being the 1st person to win a belt in 3 divisions, so if he drops the belt what's in it for Alex? It's just another example of Jon only caring about what benefits Jon. I'd laugh so hard if Jon gave Tom the belt and the UFC made him undisputed champ and then Alex calls out Tom to try and make history with 3rd belt. I'm sure Jon would be all pissy about it. Jon is the 🦆
Jones, do you know what interim champion means? If you are scare just retire or vacate the tittle and fight Tank Abott or Tito Ortiz. We find YOU annoying and Aspinall entertaining!
Chael Sonnen said something to the effect that don’t announce a fight until about two months before it take place. All the debates and back and forth is just a marketing gimmick to drive up the public’s interest.
It is the next fight for sure but how many years is it away? UFC sucks there’s too much money the fighters aren’t incentivized to take tough fights and now they want fuck uou money which further takes the skin out of the game. UFC is going to move to fixing the fights soon if they haven’t already.. they need their stars which statistically won’t happen without them babying their fights and their records. UFC is about to become boxing and it will die like boxing
It will never die!!! I hear you though, it seems it is definitely much more of a spectacle now with all the stars instead of the raw sport that it used to be. That’s business, but I got faith in them
Can’t wait …. Jon & Tom
wow wow wow

From Dana's perspective he needs to keep fighters' wages low so that he can pay investors or else they go some place else. That's capitalism for you.

I wonder what will happen to the whole mma community if jones and aspinal fight takes place and jones somehow finds a way to win... :-)
I’ve thought about the same thing and I can lowkey see it happening. We’ll have to wait and see
I dont think.anything will "happen" people will give jon his respect and be happy we got to see the fight. At least thats how it will be for me
I suppose alot of people that wanted to see jon lose will be butthurt but things will move on

If the odds are high against Jon I’m making a bet. I think he’ll surprise everyone again. His Cyril Gane statements rang so true :)

Make sure you keep titles real and don't overdo it new channels get desperate and go for drama rather than content
Good job on this one ...
Thank you sir

The marketing gimmick is working!
Great Video!
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it!
Tom Aspinall will kick Jon Jones' ass!!!
He scares you Jones, and you are the most annoying ufc champion that tries to avoid fighting with the most ridiculous excuses ever.
Jon will win
Negotiation. Fixing.
Cause he knows he will lose.

Great card Jones vs an 8th ranked fighter? Hahahah
If it happens will jones promise not to cheat because he loves to poke people's eyes
Jon Jones has never cheated ever in his whole life…
