    Wow, I can't believe that's how they perceived cats to be back in the 18th century! Cat's are so noble and delicate, and quite sweet! I have 2 cats and they are as docile as can be!...lol!

      Yes isn' it amazing! Couldn't believe it, cats are the most delicate animals and very loving too, it's fortunate they are appreciated as they should have been! Your cats' great great grand fathers must have had a very different life than yours!

    Magical as always! The new cats are beautiful. I am a fan of the subtle colors. Looking forward to seeing the secretary cat finished...so much personality! It will be very interesting to see your studio. You have accomplished a lot after moving! I know what you mean about mundane things. I like it, too. It caused me to read In Remembrance of Things Past more than one time. Madame de Sévigné is referenced as you know. Your world is far from mundane...a bit of magic needed today! xx

      Thank you Helen! yes Proust is the absolute king for the mundane turned into eternal ! I admire you very much if you have read the entire Recherche du temps perdu ... it's a massive amount of books !!! I only read the 2 first and enjoyed them very much then stopped I think I will continue the Proust journey with an audio version . maybe the secret is to to sparkle a bit of magic into our daily life and daily routines because we never remember the very extravagant things we did later anyway . Thank you yes this year have been honestly very stressful but I'm slowly coming baclk to normal and enjoying the slow decor process of my home and can't wait to show you the studio and the bed canopy finished it's on my wall right now and it suddenly turned the bedroom into a queen's room :)

    J'aime beaucoup cette vidéo. En plus de votre talent dont mes yeux se régalent, je me sentie très captivée, emmenée dans votre monde transportée par cette belle musique classique qui se marie si bien à vos merveilles. Il y a un bel équilibre entre le temps de parole (qui n'est ni trop, ni trop peu, le choix des textes est judicieux ) et les prises de vues. J'aime ça!

      Merci chère Régine merci pour ces compliments et ces encouragements !! C'est très gentil je suis ravie que vous ayez plaisir à les regarder et que vous appréciez la façon dont elles sont fabriquées : ) J'ai peur parfois qu'elles soient un peu trop longues , si vous me dites que non c'est tant mieux !

    The papers that you paint for the clothes are so beautiful, even if they take a long time to make! I noticed that the ones in this video have a lot of designs in gold. How do you decide which pattern to paint?

    • @Merveillesenpapier
      @Merveillesenpapier  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you! I usually have a general idea of the look of the costume before starting painting any papers for example here I knew I wanted more baroque patterns than floral or stripes , and didn't work with gold or metallic colorsfor a long time so thought would be nice to work with them for these patterns .

    Je cherchez des autres artist, mais vous etes unique! Une question Laetitia: vous parlez l'italien?

    • @Merveillesenpapier
      @Merveillesenpapier  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Merci c'est gentil! Bonne question! J'ai toute une méthode et disques pour apprendre l'italien qui dort dort dans ma bibliothèque que j'ai parcouru avant un voyage en Italie il y a quelques années je comprends des mini bouts mais il faut que je m'y remette ! Cette langue est si amusante à apprendre et à parler! J'en déduis que vous êtes italienne ;)

    Just wow!! The characters you have been working on are superb! One detail that I love is the feather of the 'old secretary'. I also appreciate learning about historical French writers. I enclose a link to an English version of her letters: archive.org/stream/selectionsfromra00raberich/selectionsfromra00raberich_djvu.txt
    I also love to see the shops and streets of St Etienne... so so different from my own city! It must be an endless source of inspiration.

      Thank you Michelle! Oh very nice and very helpful for english speaking readers! Thank you! for sure it is !At least for me , not everybody would think that here but for me it is, especially hunting for things and details you didn't see at the beginning , but on your side of the world you have amazing nature and landscapes with the blue mountains you showed me once this is precious too !!! :)
