You know they are talented as hell because nobody would put together a group that looked like All-4-One. They were huge though. Showed up on Family Matters. I had some buddies who literally just wrote the lyrics down from this song and gave them to their girlfriends. I had to keep rewinding the song for them to get it all. Good times. Peak R&B.

Vocally, the 90's boys groups were amazing, picking up right after the boy groups of the 60's, 70's, 80's who were incredible.
John Michael Montgomery did a great job covering this and I swear. Such a sweet hearted song, I cant stop smiling while listening to this.

Original singer is a country artist named John Michael Montgomery. All-4-One did a cover of 2 of his songs this one and I swear. I know that John Michael Montgomery version is the original cause it was released on March 1995 and All-4-One released it in June 1995. John Michael Montgomery released I swear in November 1993 and All-4-One released I swear in April 1994.

No, THIS is the original, HE copied THEM twice. There's came out first both times. His versions sucked, which is also why he disappeared so long from the music industry. Him and Mark Wills were remake artists, nothing more.

There are tons of great songs from my Era that many today like Pentatonix, Home Free, Voice Play and others are covering.
Now I honestly do not mind them covering these songs.
If anything it's bring awareness of the song and the original artist to younger generations.
