Wonderful! I just did my 2 rounds of strength and power training and then did these 1-3 videos, I am so full of joy and happiness right now, this really lifted my spirits today! Now off to shower and work! Will be back to do this routine aaaall the time now! :-) Thanks Laura!
EurasianMiHae - no problem! I recorded another one and it's in the cue! Also, the first song in intermediate is a little fast. A lot of the others are slower.
Oh man. Since filming this, I have learned that there is a controversy. I always learned it as the hitchhiker because as you're backing up, traditionally you have thumbs out (I typically just pump my hands, though). I have since learned that some people say the hitchhiker is, well, kind of a classic standing there with your thumb out bobbing your head to the rhythm - type thing. I chalk this up to the difficulty of poorly documented vernacular jazz, oral traditions, and a long period of time where people were just renaming things randomly and then passing that random name on.
This reminds me of Rueda de Casino.. You should include partner steps, partner changes and hand signals and make it a “thing”!

I'm so happy this works for you! Dancing is the best.
Love, love, love these! Thank you!
Love this intro level. Please make more! I tried intermediate and found out intro is where I live. 😂 Thank you!

Where does the Hitchhiker name come from? :)
