lol you should check out some cars in gt6/5 on ps3 the Peugeot 908 hdi race car has on its mid rpm turbo kit 1195 HP, and well over 1500 ft-lb of torque, the fisker karma eco sport, while you can't upgrade it due to being driven on electric motors has 398hp and 958ftlb, Jay Leno's tank car has about 1500 ft lb and the GT by citreon concept has 779hp, and 1800ft-lbs of torque, it's electric as well, there's plenty of others that make ridiculous power and torque, but those are some of the most notable numbers
Smaller diesels can do 5k+ . And I've seen 6bt Cummins engines do 5,000, look up a video of it on TH-cam. but stock, all full size trucks are limited to 3k ish

yes they make less fpt but they are for racing not hauling torque is for pulling
now in Forza 7 you can do the same thing to the Nissan Titan Warrior and get it to 800 hp 1,600 lb-ft of torque
you should have stretched the gears out to take advantage of that power and torque. just as it hit the powerband, you had to shift and start all over
