I couldn’t agree more, I’m a 67-year-old female retiree, alone with a lot of home projects required and heating my home with my woodstove requires alot, alot of working with wood. If you want a safe, happy and nurturing home you just have to get things done on your own and with a lot of prayer it’s amazing the things I do, God bless all of us.
That was good to watch, and I'm glad you got home OK. That little tractor is a thing of beauty, and I'd love it. I've subscribed to your channel, and I send you best wishes from East Anglia in England.
A couple 3 years ago a LARGE pine was blown over in a wind storm. I cut out 8' foot lengths and used an Alaska Mill to cut planks from them. What a stack of usable lumber from one tree. The base was 34-36" in diameter, and used every inch of the 36" bar on the chainsaw to get through it. The base was cut into 5" thick rounds and I turned one slab into a live-edge round table with an epoxy top. It is amazing what can be made from one large tree that God gives after a storm. Sure do enjoy your videos. I do understand your pain. My little tractor amazes me with what I've asked of it over the years too. Stay blessed.
That ride home with the log and old tractor, was very exciting and scarry, it's some thing I would do and wish I didn't, glad you made it home. great video, so true to life !!
I hope you gave a good toast to your guardian angels, watching over you on that job! Whatever you use that wood for, I hope it brings a smile or a chuckle, always remembering this day. Many Blessings in the new year, Jerry!!
Wish that we were neighbors Jerry. I do so many things alone, almost everything in fact. Just ruptured my Achilles two weeks ago doing something alone that I shouldn’t have been. I think that we’d be kindred spirits brother and a great help to one another but all the help that I can offer at this distance (Jackson county,Ohio) is my prayers.
With that busy street nearby I'll bet no one stopped and asked IF you needed help either. Those are some beautiful old houses, Could this be in a historical district maybe? That is one tough logging outfit. That little Cub tractor came through. Nice to have a brother you can call to help. I have one too. I tell you man the things people will do for a little firewood...
You needed a “slow moving vehicle” sign and an “I’m crazy as a Betsy bug sign”!!! I’m right there with ya brother, I do stuff like that all the time. The challenge is fun.
Great job getting her home love the little town of Lisbon use to work there about 30 minutes from my house my place was built 1890s and I also burn wood as well keep up the great work.
Love the video jerry you and i have alot in common i also have a cub and you can do alot with them, it just takes longer, but there a lot cheaper than a compact tractor.I totally agree and can identify with what you said about working alone. God gave us brains to figure out how to do things. God bless
Once you go professional grade Stihl you’ll never go back! Love making wood noodles! I worked alone doing this type of thing I would have just 1/4 each round with saw then split.
THAT WAS A GETTER DONE MOMENT WITH THE OL CUB JERRY.... WELL WORTH THE PRICE OF ADMISSION. AND YA GOTTA PUT THAT LIFTING BELT 1ST, IM 60 NOW, AND MY BACK HAS GIVEN ME PROBLEMS SINCE MY 30S. I REACH FOR THAT BELT ALWAYS IN THESE KINDA SITUATIONS. SUPER KOOL PIECE OF LUMBER, THOSE CUTS WILL BE GRAND. GOD BLESS AND MERRY CHRISTMAS.🙏🙏💪👍🎄🎄🎄❄❄❄
Very impressive hard work - mission accomplished!!! A lot of gusto for a small antique tractor ( built tough then) and, massive prayer. Merry CHRISTmas (belated) and a peaceful, blessed and Christ focused new year. 😊🌿🕊🇺🇸🙏🏻✝️
@@logcabinlifestyle I had an exactly similar situation- a neighbor had a huge maple in his front yard and wanted rid of it. Topped of the branches for firewood, and sold the trunk to my timber guy. It was spalded, so he wanted it!! Win win for everyone
@reppfarms4493 it sure sounds like it. I can’t wait to rip this into board. It’s a little big for my mill so I need to cut it down a bit more. I can only mill 30”
Use caution. Yard trees are usually a no no for sawing. Most have nails or other metal in them. I agree it would be nice to some help on jobs that would be safer with a little help. If your anything like me you have given lots of free help to friends and neighbors on there projects. The funny thing is most all of them have very short memories for paying back with some help for you!
I’m not sure if I left in the most stressful part or not. The log got stuck on a bump as I was coming into the driveway and I had to jack it up before I could go anymore. It didn’t show in the video but it took me 3 days to get that log ready to move
My husband is so much like you. He solves problems when most people would give up. We hear with wood too. It’s a little stressful but so much cheaper than buying a tank of oil these days. Your videos are great because you are showing people they can do it. It’s so important! God Bless
Something tells me a lot of drama about 2/3 of the way in was left on the editing room floor. But that's ok it was still a joy to watch. Admire your determination.
Loving these videos but please take care with that new chainsaw, position the wood first before cranking it on, face/eye coverings and maybe ear mufflers. It's too easy to have terrible accidents with a running chainsaw so 100% focus and care. Your Thanksgiving Turkey looked divine.
Ms462, when I bought the saw they said they can’t get the compensating carburetor which must be the c. I ask what is that because I didn’t know. Then they told me that it just compensates for our mistakes. I’m good with the old way. I’m definitely not disappointed
You need to start charging people for removing their trees… It cost me over $3000 per oak tree to have cut down and then another $1000 to dispose of them because nobody wanted them. The trees were way bigger than the one you cut, and I could only keep the upper parts for firewood.
Tim from Canada.. you did not show putting on the dolly to the tree. Why was this not added on the video? It seems like you cut a lot of your video out if you were going to do the job of showing people how to do tree removal cutting half of your process out does not help your videos
There was about 15 hours of footage. Yes I had to cut the log to load it. Unfortunately while some will stick around for the slower stuff most will not. So, in editing I had to cut a lot out

Your right! God bless us all.
Amen to that
That didn't suck, it was a great success! No one got hurt. You and the log are home safe. Stressful, but fun to watch.
My stress level was through the roof! But in the end you are right! Now to get it on the mill and make some boards
Glad you made it home with that LOG. Stay safe and keep on working. Great job. Fred.
That was good to watch, and I'm glad you got home OK. That little tractor is a thing of beauty, and I'd love it. I've subscribed to your channel, and I send you best wishes from East Anglia in England.
Thank you my friend and welcome!
Never doubted the little Cub!!
Great work. All is well that ends well.
Man, that is one hell of a chunk of locust. Good job. That stuff is nature's pressure treated lumber.
Your videos are giving us ideas.
I am running a 1948 Allis Chalmers C.
That’s great! That’s what TH-cam is best for!

👍 Nice to hear & watch mental exercise of "get er Done"!! Sweetness.Love seeing the tractor on the main road. 😊
Boy that tractor did better than I thought good job
I hope you gave a good toast to your guardian angels, watching over you on that job!
Whatever you use that wood for, I hope it brings a smile or a chuckle, always remembering this day. Many Blessings in the new year, Jerry!!
doing good buddy....glad you were asking the Lord for help in getting it moved.
good lord i never would of tryed it with tht tiny tractor. but yu got her done

Well I will take your prayers and pass some your way!
What a great gift. Well worth the effort.
Nice Yule Log you brought home.
Merry Christmas.
I like that Cultivator emergency break
The little tractor that could! Man that was a big log!
Thank you Big K

That we do. I’m going downtown today after another one. Wish me luck

love your videos Jerry , should do another christmas episode with the girls playing live music again , it was fantastic ,
I’ll be stopping out to see them soon so I’ll let them know. Maybe for Easter this year
Can't wait to see what you do with that wood! I'm sure it'll be worth it 🙂
Very impressive. That looked impossible with a small tractor.
Thank you! I’m not going to say I didn’t have any doubts
tot ally insane , and bloody brilliant :) well done Sir !
Thank you my friend!

You are right
I have a Farmall super A and a bunch of old Homelite chainsaws
The things that can be accomplished with a Farmall and a little gasoline! Merry Christmas late my friend!
From Columbiana. Thank you Jerry! God bless you!
You are most welcome, and a God bless back at you!
Nice job 👍
If I had to cut the logs with a butter knife.
Would be easier!!!
than10hrs a day someone telling you what to do.

You did it!!!
Yes I did.
Awesome video. Merry Christmas to you and your family.

Thanks Lisa!
Merry Christmas!!
Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas 🎄
Merry Christmas
Howdy brother- that’s quite a feat getting that log home. I know what you mean about doing things by yourself. God bless and Merry Christmas
Howdy Paul! Merry Christmas my brother!
Jerry- I’m really suprised you got that maple log on that dolly. When they are green, they are REALLY heavy. That is a lot of boards there….
Ya, I have a log calculator and it says 5000-6000 pounds
@@logcabinlifestyle I had an exactly similar situation- a neighbor had a huge maple in his front yard and wanted rid of it. Topped of the branches for firewood, and sold the trunk to my timber guy. It was spalded, so he wanted it!! Win win for everyone

@@logcabinlifestyle In the past, my sawyer has cut big ones for me (over 36”) right down the middle in order to mill them.

I've always got it done however I can. Aka the hardest way possible. Lol. I'm right up the road in Austintown.
Very cool! I come to Austintown a lot in the fall sweeping chimneys
If it pulls a wheelie remember to disengage the clutch or power to the drive wheels, don't apply the brakes.
Good advice.
Super trattore big pinta fortissimo grande😂😮😮😮💪💪💪💪💪👌👌
Merry Christmas man!
Merry Christmas
You can do ALL things through CHRIST who strengthens you❤❤❤
Nail bitter😮😂
You need a bigger tractor. But you did a good job what you had .😊
Thanks for sharing! What was the most stressful moment in this project? It didn't feel too stressful watching it from the comfort of my home :)
I’m not sure if I left in the most stressful part or not. The log got stuck on a bump as I was coming into the driveway and I had to jack it up before I could go anymore. It didn’t show in the video but it took me 3 days to get that log ready to move

When its hard work you want find the helpers
Your right, No, you won’t.
Something tells me a lot of drama about 2/3 of the way in was left on the editing room floor. But that's ok it was still a joy to watch. Admire your determination.
Yes, yes, and yes!!😂😂😂😂. That log took me like 3 days to get moved and it was very hard work but very boring to watch. So I had to cut it all out.
I cut wood today with my table saw( no table). Just small compared to your huge log.
Loving these videos but please take care with that new chainsaw, position the wood first before cranking it on, face/eye coverings and maybe ear mufflers. It's too easy to have terrible accidents with a running chainsaw so 100% focus and care. Your Thanksgiving Turkey looked divine.
Zor ve başarılı
You look like the man who used to be my neighbor.
Found your sight oh a week ago.Like the content. What part of the country?Saw you and your tractor headed to town for a big log,an firewood.Peace.
Ohio
Is that 462 c or 462 with standard carburetor
Ms462, when I bought the saw they said they can’t get the compensating carburetor which must be the c. I ask what is that because I didn’t know. Then they told me that it just compensates for our mistakes. I’m good with the old way. I’m definitely not disappointed
“Honey Jonny Apple seed is cutting up a tree in the back yard “
Ghost pains on the back.
I do things myself too. That way I don't have to explain why I do things the way I do.
I know all about working by myself. I have a small channel on here
I’ll look you up tomorrow, Merry Christmas.
What size of bar are you running Jerry ?
Boy, I don’t know. Just the standard one that came on it I think. I did have to make an adapter to fit a ball on it though
Probably the 25-in bar that Stihl pairs with them would be my guess.
Are you somewhere in the applichians? PA?
North eastern Ohio

Is the little cub a yard ornament or for gardening?
The videos explain that very well
Damn im early
Independent!
Don’t take this wrong, but you need to invest in a bigger tractor
I don’t take it wrong. But boy what a big head you just gave her.
Must be a mans language about power of your tractor.
That's like trying to fit 10 lbs of shit into a 5 lb bag :)
You call the tree she, shouldnt that be they? Lol.
