    i have Seen 10 bikes together at motoverse , lot of them had pimples and motichur laddo leftovers on the chassis weld joints especially near the fork stem area...that's the quality issue (no where close to Triumph 400) Which Himalayan is infamous for breakage... Hopefully all saw that broken chassis of 411 doing rounds on the internet earlier.
    Also bikes with 500-800 km on odo were sounding worse than tractors with heavy tappet and crank noises...

      I think the broken frame of the himalayan was because of the frame itself and not the weld

    Tappet noise is a common issue that comes post 500 kms for every current generation bike that RE has produced so far. It gets adjusted in the very first service so not a serious thing to bother.

    • @automotriztechnica
      @automotriztechnica  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That’s for RE Classic long stroke engine interval of first 500Km they just inspect. Himalayan 450 altogether is a new engine then the clearance specs are not met even in 200Km for another vehicle in the video. But one of the bike was sounding to have connecting rod issues too.
      At 500Km they do 1st service, most 350cc they check clearance, in J-Series mostly it does not go out of the tolerance.

    Sir one more question i have.
    X pulse 200 4v new bike or
    Himalayan 411 in second hand bike.
    Which is better
    And
    Whats the Both of Mileage from your experience.

    • @automotriztechnica
      @automotriztechnica  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      XPulse 200 4V is a light weight proper dual sport bike. Mileage is 32 - 45kmpl based on your riding style. Makes justice for power to weight ratio. Some people got even 50kmpl whereas I got 49kmpl
      Himalayan 411cc is heavy with that old style engine, but a long stroke. Good seating ergonomics, Highway mile muncher, but lack of refinement seen as usual. Its BS6 model is the most bug fix in the lot from BS3, BS4 etc. BS6 Himalayan 411cc mileage: 40kmpl
      Liking and buying is dependent on the user, you need to properly Test Ride both where you and your body suits and get connected to the bike. If you are looking for a used Himalayan get a BS6 less run only. Seating of XPulse is narrow and Himalayan is awesome.
      New Himalayan 411cc less run heats a lot, after 2000Km it should be fine. Chassis is unreliable of 411cc Himalayan, cone set gets bad if the water seeps into the cone set. In that aspect XPulse 200 4V excels in build quality.
      I would rather suggest to take proper long Test rides of both & settle for one. If you ask me, my pick will be XPulse 200 4V anytime a brand new one. I owed it as well for a year, XPulse I always ❤ it.

    Will this be good for our CHENNAI city bumper-to-bumper traffic what is the least mileage we can expect for such conditions......considering the suspension comfort feature this could be a good buy compared to triumph scram provided we don't face any issues with maneuvering in city traffic ........I have already booked Triumph Scram and this I need your expertise on selecting among these two.... and also need to know if RE quality issues plaguing around ?

    • @automotriztechnica
      @automotriztechnica  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Scram 400 anytime a refined product as of now. Himalayan 450 needs to get maturity, it will take its own sweet time. Chennai bumper to bumper traffic the radiator fan will kick often. If Himalayan quality was maintained properly, it would have been a bit got. The fuel economy in bumper to bumper is less, approximately capable of 27-33kmph. Average is 30kmpl
      Since you already have booked Trumph Scram, you take proper test rides of both one after another and that’s the best thing to do. longer ones then it’s a good package. If you consider a Himalayan 450, you may weight for a second revision. RE quality issues are still seen.

    Based on the information in your video, it seems that this is a better package than the KTM 390 Adventure. Of course, the first batch needs to be avoided, be it RE or KTM. As for the delay in the ride by wire throttle, it's there in the KTM 373 cc engine as well. Not sure about the new 399 cc one. KTM engines also have a lot of valvetrain noise but these Himalayans seem to have too much of it. Shows the inportance of proper running-in but we will know more once the first batches have clocked several thousand kilometres.

    • @automotriztechnica
      @automotriztechnica  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      KTM 373 the first batch had delays too, I believe they solved it in 2014. Looking at the overall design & quality H450 need to go through multiple sittings of bugfix.

      @twowheeledparadox 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@automotriztechnica No, the BS3 model (up to 2016 had direct throttle so power delivery was instant. The BS4 (2017 to 2019) and BS6 (2020 onwards) models had ride by wire throttle and the lag was never fixed. It's a problem with ride by wire itself. I have a BS4 model and a friend has a BS6 one and both have this issue. Even the service centre confirmed that the lag is inherent and nothing short of a full aftermarket ECU remap will fix it.

    • @automotriztechnica
      @automotriztechnica  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@twowheeledparadox Thanks for the correct info on KTM RBW💐👍. Ride by wire is based on the Digital Control System design with feedback, I use BMW G310GS and also I rode my friends A390 2023 model that had FuelX, the delays are negligible. BMW has almost nil. It all depends on the bus frequency the vendor uses for that module. The H450’s is noticeable for those who are riding BMW & KTM. There must be a cost cutting on H450 in these specs.

    • @twowheeledparadox
      @twowheeledparadox 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@automotriztechnica The FuelX does nothing to alleviate throttle input lag. It only improves low and mid range torque to make the bike more rideable. The lag is easily ignored at low rpm but becomes very pronounced the closer you get to 10k rpm. It was especially annoying to me because my other KTM is an early batch 200 Duke. That has zero lag as do my friends' BS3 390 Dukes. You are right, KTM might have cheaped out on this and RE even more so. I need to test ride the new Himalayan. The laggy throttle response is something that concerns me whenever I hear that a bike has ride by wire throttle. I haven't ridden a BS6 G310GS, only a BS4 one which did not have RBW so I do not know well BMW calibrates that type of throttle.

    • @automotriztechnica
      @automotriztechnica  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@twowheeledparadox Agree, FuelX does gamma parameters manipulation for fuel adjustments for low end and high end for torque. But piggy back ECUs like Powertronics which I’ve not used, heard they do a good response. Whichever bike I try, lastly Classic 350 Reborn is the versatile I feel, it can go everywhere. That sometimes BMW G310GS cannot do. Another CB350 has a great smoothest engine. I went to book a Himalayan 450, my friend already booked it. We thought it would be better in real thinking media’s and RE Influencer’s talks, I stepped back not booking the Hanle Black. Other friends booked. Both modes were checked… it’s not the delay of ECO mode, it’s the latency time taken by the Sensor and the Controller and the digital signals fed to the target system.
      I could make it out easily on the throttle. Just raise a bit, the engine will respond with a delay.
      The throttle sensor and the feedback takes a lot of time in their DCS.

    TFT Screen flickering while filming..😢

    • @boom_shankar
      @boom_shankar 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It’s not flickering. This happens because TFT emits light at a different frequency and camera captures at its own frequency. Sometimes there’s a mismatch which results in apparent flickering. In reality it’s not.
