Wow! The simple design makes it look futuristic. Also there's another Bri'ish modern looking fan that is very old: The Crompton Parkinson V3A. Canopies look like the KDK A56XK series.
Here's an interesting fact about these fans. They also made them as rebrand in the US and also in Australia. In the US, it is relabeled as Airmaster and in Australia it is Relabeled GEC. The Aussie rebrands are very rare to come across, but one person has a video on it, and the canopies on the Aussie versions are not the same. However in the US it still a bit common to find but hard to find for sale, and the design is pretty much the same but you could find one where the top of the motor is actually a Cyan colour too
vortice sold these fans under their brand name for a short period in the late 70s as well in late 70s, after closure of relite electric ltd in 1975 before the re establishment of relite fans ltd in 1980, they were manufactured by simplex circulume, some were even branded simplex
interesting relite! from my observation, it is likely dated in 1985 or 1986 since white top covers were introduced in relite in 1985, and since the fan is faster than the usual relite fans, it could more likely be a 1986 model (check stator inside, if its 10x10 coil then its the older version, 1985, if 8x8, then newer version, 1986) blades are very unusual for relite ive never seen one with curved blades, it could be modified by the previous owner or it has come in original shape, cant verify that! the capacitor on the relite has been replaced, the original value is 1.6 uF, replacement cap should be around that value if not more.. the regulator's stiffness can be solved with a litle spray of WD40 on it as of the bearings, there is a design flaw with relite fans that allows dust to enter the lower bearing through the downrod and shaft, causing all the noise by time, as a part of relite restoration i usually add a piece of tissue in the shaft to block access to the bearings
i see, that sounds interesting! i definitely will check the motor later! for the blades, i think it's too way neat and presentable to be modified by simply bending it lol. it looks like a real factory curved in my eyes. i see, and yup it has been replaced before! i will definitely try that with the regulator, thanks for the tips! alrighty then, thanks for the idea!
@@pankaatnope is the same we also used to have this in the 80s and we have the same design as the newer airmaster just that the speed is like the 80s one as well
what?? you got a Relite?? congratulations bro! you've managed to find one of hidden treasure in Indonesia! honestly, for me, this is also one of my dreams to own this guy, especially i really love with it's shape, retro-minimalist, simple, and british look's design, but i prefer the normal straight blade version rather than this rectangular-bended. and i'm not the really fan of it's speed regulator. yes it's look's so "british", but it's look not so match to the fan design itself. i personally prefer to the UAE's Relite speed regulator design. that's look simpler with just bulky rectangle shape. that's more like "british industrial", and the design more suitable than this. this is the only Relite that i've ever seen in TH-cam that have a monster rpm! how about the speed? have you already compare with your own F-560A1?
sorry for the late reply! haha thanks bro! i never thought this fan does exist in Indonesia until i realized this one was strayed. i see, and i hope you'll get one someday later! for the regulator itself, i don't really know how UAE's Relite regulator exactly looks like as i'm not often watching industrial ceiling fan videos. I've had no comments regarding my Relite's regulator, unless i think it would be kinda risky if it's being daily used on the lowest speed with the original speed regulator since it didn't have any vents to exhausting the heat which resulted by the transformer honestly, the RPM is mindblowing indeed! i never thought that it'll be this fast on its highest speed before i install it. the speed 1-4 is about similar to my F-560A1 with my KDK speed regulator, but i have no clue how fast it goes with the original speed regulator as i haven't tried it yet.
10:23 i just love the "dok dok dok" sound it makes on full speed, absolute nostalgia.
also, congrats for this acquisition!
haha that’s actually because the lower canopy hit the motor
thank you!!

Singaporean relite is a completely different brand than the british one

I’ve never seen these with curved blades before
it is indeed unusual haha
I never ever seen this fan in Indonesia
because they weren’t officially sold nor even illegally imported in indonesia.
none of them are interested to grab it you say? I'd willing to but some issues you know?
Nope, I had better things to worry about
