I know it's a nitpick but mentioning the names of animators instead of entire studios would probably be better because studios don't matter nearly as much as the staff on board a project as most animators in the industry at the moment are freelancers and hop from project to project which means studio to studio as well. Examples of animators you could've mentioned for this video are Yutaka Nakamura for a majority of the One Punch Man fight scene, Sunghoo park for Ninja Kamui, Vercreek for the Frieren black hole scene, Weilin Zhang for the Hitori No Shita scene, Katsumi Ishizuka for Zoro vs King and the Hakuyu Go team for the mob psycho fight scene.

Demon Slayer has some has some good animation but it's not always top teir and when it is, it's usually pretty short (lasting at most a couple minutes). Comparing it to Fate (especially the movies) is not even a competition. Hope the movies that come out change that, though.

Name one anime or even one scene that beats fate or specifically saber berserker or saber vs rider in eye candy. Demon slayer, maybe mob, and most recently, JJK are the main contenders and have been for a while.

Same with one piece. It's god tier for long running animes though! But any long running anime will not be able to beat top seasonal ones in animation quality peaks nor consistency. There's a VERY good reason why the fate movies were called unlimited budget works... They won't be comfortably beat for a long time.

It's just computer graphical artistic freedom in a way. I could maybe hand-draw immersive details on a portrait or make a caricature. There is a movie where you can see the sukuna vs mahoraga staff at 80% of their potential, its the fate camelot movie 2 paladin agateram (the last 40 minutes is the best animated thing that i have ever seen)
yeah. Season 1 killed it cause of Madhouse. I really hoped they continue with the series. But they went on with mob. I hope season 3 will be as good as season 1.

Soooo, I understand the picks of each of these ones but can I just put my opinion? - For Solo Leveling, the Igris fight was indeed great BUT the fight after the spider boss was my personal favorite. The way they incorporated the build-up alongside the stellar OST and the way they animated it totally beats any other fight in season 1. - For One Punch Man's season 1, let me sell you on my favorite. The sparring match of Genos and Saitama. - For God of Highschool. I personally prefer the Jin Mori vs Park Ilpyo one. Even if they did change the outcome of it in the anime adaptation it delivered.
I agree with your choices, on Solo Leveling Jin Woo vs the Mercenaries after the spider boss is such an crazy moment that I've lost count how many times i've watched it. Cant say about God of highschool tho, dropped after episode 3, couldnt handle watch it of how bad it was and I can't understand why ppl llike that thing so much but hwy, to each their own.
Watched mostly all of these scenes and I agree except for the bleach part. Yes, we waited for Rukia's bankai but the biggest reveal was old-man Yamamoto's scorching heat bankai in 4 different directions. That was one of the most awesome use of skills I saw in an anime.
Keep in mind, this dude says he has yet to see ANYTHING more visually stunning than the Saber vs. Rider fight, in Heaven's Feels. I totally agree with him, I see why he didn't put any fate fights up. The visuals and sfx design in Ufotable's work are truly next level.
Both berserker and the rider fight against Salter (Saber Alter) are great and i still heckin love it till today, rewatched it many times because ofc saber's Excalibur is always so satisfying to hear and see

My personal recommendation for those that know it, Ikki Kurogami from Chivalry of a failed knight vs Todo. Trust me when I say the animation from an anime this old is PEAK Some background knowledge before the fight as well, this man was broken and hadn’t eaten for days, was pitted against an unbeatable wall, and smashed through that wall. Animation and everything, we gotta appreciate the amount of effort the VAs put in as well. Seeing the BTS for Kenjiro voicing Nanami's last fight scene as well as Taito voicing Jinwoo's fight against igris. Goosebumps
I remember watching the fight in Jujutsu Kaisen and just thinking: Man, this is art. I actually love the way it looks like it's sketched. It makes the action more fluid while also giving it a unique artstyle.
Castlevania is so damn goated. Imo the best Netflix animated work, Edgerunners is also a good shout, but I hated the animation style Choreography in Castlevania isn’t talked about nearly enough either, very glad you highlighted it
What makes the Wethermon battle more impressive is that according to the game devs later on in the next episode, he is not supposed to be defeated until mid-end game, which by this point no one is at because no one has defeated a world boss yet. So basically, MC, his friend, and a person they knew online in another game came in, had one hell of a fight, and fucking beat a boss that was not supposed to be beaten yet and this stage while using gear that would definitely be considered severely underpowered if it was actually mid-game.
"Fog hill of five elements" have one of best choreographed and detailed fight scenes in the history of animation.. sound design is amazing and those impact frames are like cherry on top!! Must watch!!
The Fate duel was from Heavens Feel Trilogy not Unlimited Blade Works, but that’s ok. Oh, and the Tengen and Tanjiro battle against Guytaro is still higher on my list than the Rengoku vs Akaza. Great list tho! Some I even forgot about! As long as I’m on that Heavens Feel vibe, it’s gotta be Saber vs Ryder(Medusa) in part 3. I must have watched that fight half a dozen times. Anime and Manga is just awesome and I’m over 50 yo.
I like that despite rushing the animators MAPPA only cut back on extra rendering to meet deadlines and did not resort to wonky anatomy like others have been doing for years.
Late to the party so this won't be seen but it's wild how almost all the vids like this ignore anything not made in recent years. If I watch a greatest sci-fi compilation, or greatest movie fight scenes, or whatever else, you end up seeing well-crafted clips across decade after decade. All of these "Best Anime" whatevers span like 20 years at best in many cases, 10 at best in too many, and always equate bright & flashy to best. It's easy to tell how heavy the bias is and how much has been missed. "Most Legendary" implies the entirety of works have been considered and sifted through and this list doesn't reflect that at all.
This is a fantastic list and it should be a "pinned post" for every visitor to see on this channel if that were a thing on this platform. There are only two shows here that I don't watch and only 1 fight that I haven't seen and I just want to say, some of these shows have a higher legendary visually stunning fights to number of episodes ratio than others.
Very nice selection! Must have been tough to choose. A few other scenes that could easily be among that list are (i) the final fight between Siegfried vs Karna in Fate Apocrypha (banger!), or (ii) Pain vs four-tailed Kyubii in Naruto.

I honestly thought that Sukuna vs Mahoraga wasn't good, it's over the top action with very little substance, while visually stunning I was actually getting bored towards the end. Compare that the tengen vs gyutaro I couldn't get my eyes of the screen for 6 episodes straight, now that was an emotional rollercoaster.
Due to solo leveling animation I read the entire series within a day without any sleep of rest at all because when I'm feeling sleepy they throw out some chills and amazing moments that keeps me awake and continue reading. It was a bliss so those who can't afford to wait anymore go read it and it'll never be a disappointed adventure
My favorite until this moment is the fight between gogetta and broly, i love the theme and music, with the diffent animation style, to me it was sheer perfection, and that includes all the fight that led to that moment in the movie
21:35 I'd actually say this. First off, remorse for overworking people entirely. Okay, BUT, I think "rushing" them did the anime a service, not disservice. And not because we got it quicker. Limitation is the mother of creativity. I really like the low detail smears they did and I could go on and on about it. It was really nice.

Although Avatar The Last Airbender is not an anime, it has beautifully animated fights, specially the final fight between Aang vs Ozai and Azula vs Zuko. Just goosebumps.

Thankfully, Sukuna vs Mahoraga made the fight much better on blu ray, and with some of the most insane extended cuts I've ever seen!

Watched mostly all of these scenes and I agree except for the bleach part. Yes, we waited for Rukia's bankai but the biggest reveal was old-man Yamamoto's scorching heat bankai in 4 different directions. That was one of the most awesome use of skills I saw in an anime.
Keep in mind, this dude says he has yet to see ANYTHING more visually stunning than the Saber vs. Rider fight, in Heaven's Feels. I totally agree with him, I see why he didn't put any fate fights up. The visuals and sfx design in Ufotable's work are truly next level.

Both berserker and the rider fight against Salter (Saber Alter) are great and i still heckin love it till today, rewatched it many times because ofc saber's Excalibur is always so satisfying to hear and see

3:50 this scene might be more flashier but my best scene will always be that one where they storm dracula's castle and fight his generals and minions...that was 1 heck of a long, intricate,exquisite and breath taking fight scene that went on for 5 min straight it come in s02 e07

What makes the Wethermon battle more impressive is that according to the game devs later on in the next episode, he is not supposed to be defeated until mid-end game, which by this point no one is at because no one has defeated a world boss yet.
So basically, MC, his friend, and a person they knew online in another game came in, had one hell of a fight, and fucking beat a boss that was not supposed to be beaten yet and this stage while using gear that would definitely be considered severely underpowered if it was actually mid-game.
Fire Force probably had the most Auditory Stunning Fights. Absolutely love the sound effects used in that anime

"Fog hill of five elements" have one of best choreographed and detailed fight scenes in the history of animation.. sound design is amazing and those impact frames are like cherry on top!! Must watch!!
The Fate duel was from Heavens Feel Trilogy not Unlimited Blade Works, but that’s ok. Oh, and the Tengen and Tanjiro battle against Guytaro is still higher on my list than the Rengoku vs Akaza. Great list tho! Some I even forgot about! As long as I’m on that Heavens Feel vibe, it’s gotta be Saber vs Ryder(Medusa) in part 3. I must have watched that fight half a dozen times. Anime and Manga is just awesome and I’m over 50 yo.

I like that despite rushing the animators MAPPA only cut back on extra rendering to meet deadlines and did not resort to wonky anatomy like others have been doing for years.
Late to the party so this won't be seen but it's wild how almost all the vids like this ignore anything not made in recent years. If I watch a greatest sci-fi compilation, or greatest movie fight scenes, or whatever else, you end up seeing well-crafted clips across decade after decade. All of these "Best Anime" whatevers span like 20 years at best in many cases, 10 at best in too many, and always equate bright & flashy to best. It's easy to tell how heavy the bias is and how much has been missed. "Most Legendary" implies the entirety of works have been considered and sifted through and this list doesn't reflect that at all.
I think Link Click deserves a spot on this list. Some of the fights in season 2 were amazingly fluid, felt real, and just so good to see.

This is a fantastic list and it should be a "pinned post" for every visitor to see on this channel if that were a thing on this platform.
There are only two shows here that I don't watch and only 1 fight that I haven't seen and I just want to say, some of these shows have a higher legendary visually stunning fights to number of episodes ratio than others.
That hitori no shita has been my favorite anime fight for so long. And usually people have no idea what I'm talking about when I mention it

One fight that always gives me chills is the ending of Meliodas vs Gilthunder and Hendrickson. Such a touching scene and chaotic animation at the end.
I honestly thought that Sukuna vs Mahoraga wasn't good, it's over the top action with very little substance, while visually stunning I was actually getting bored towards the end. Compare that the tengen vs gyutaro I couldn't get my eyes of the screen for 6 episodes straight, now that was an emotional rollercoaster.
Due to solo leveling animation I read the entire series within a day without any sleep of rest at all because when I'm feeling sleepy they throw out some chills and amazing moments that keeps me awake and continue reading. It was a bliss so those who can't afford to wait anymore go read it and it'll never be a disappointed adventure

21:35 I'd actually say this. First off, remorse for overworking people entirely. Okay, BUT, I think "rushing" them did the anime a service, not disservice. And not because we got it quicker. Limitation is the mother of creativity. I really like the low detail smears they did and I could go on and on about it. It was really nice.
