I just passed the AIPB Payroll and Depreciation parts. Once I pass Inventory and Internal Controls, I will be what AIPB considers a Certified Bookkeeper. Next step will be the Pro Advisor Quickbooks Certification. And then I will be scheduling a zoom meeting with you Zack!!!😊
I just tested and got certified as a ProAdvisor. It doesn't include Payroll or Depreciation. I'm surprised you didn't start with that, it's going to be easier by comparison. But watch out because the test will ask obscure questions on very minor details at times. I studied the sections with practice test questions, just a tip.
@@alhfgsp Congratulations my friend!!! The reason I left the Pro Advisor certification for the end is because the AIPB is longer and I wanted to leave the easier part for the end. Thank you for your tip!!!
This is awesome, Zach! 🙏🏾 Finally, I understand how to get experience so I can grow my business. And I don’t have to necessarily get a related type job to get experience as I originally thought. I can stay in my Walmart job until I’m ready to quit when my business is making enough. I hope you have great week! 😀
Great content, as always! Could you help me with something unrelated: My OKX wallet holds some USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). How should I go about transferring them to Binance?
For the name, be careful of using the word "accounting" as a non-CPA. It is illegal in certain states (like Texas). The wording in the law for other states is weird and might not even be worth risking it. I'm thinking of using "financial" instead. Start with bookkeeping & might add more services down the line.
This is absolutely NOT true haha. You can not put credential abbreviations on things you don’t have… but words that are commonly used in the english language and synonymous with broad financial services like “accounting” is totally fair game.
@@IronBear47 for Texas, Sec. 901.453 section B of the Texas Public Accounting Act does have wording that would make me believe otherwise. You could have a degree in accounting with no CPA but if a client claimed you had expertise in accounting, then you are breaking that law. Texas Admin Code SECTION 501.83 Subsection (4)(D) also brings worry to wording my business. Illinois' Public Accounting Law sounds less aggressive but still has me worried. I remember Jason on Firms talking about being careful with naming as it varies from state to state.
@ interesting… im not sure how they could enforce it. Having a degree in accounting makes you a student of accounting and should also not be the measure of expertise. But thanks for your reply.
@IronBear47 believe me, they watch it. They sent me certified letter because I had accounting on my website. They made me remove all accounts, Accountant and accounting words... of course I verified with my attorney before complying...

@gust_FL Intuit's ProAdvisor does offer an additional cert for Payroll, but I might want to look into AIPB anyway.
Thank you Zack! Really appreciate you making these videos to assist us on our journey to opening our own book keeping business.
You Rock Sir!
HOOAH!
What % of your clients are solely virtual? Are they all local?
