he had 4 gold and he wanted the tusk and phoenix. so he bought a hero and has one gold left. he sells that hero and buys the phoenix he wants then locks the row. if there are empty places on the row when being locked the game will autofill them next round. so he get's 2 more hero option the round after becouse of how he bought and sold. if he didnt do this he would have had one gold left so this way makes it so he spends all gold and get's more option. Very nice play indeed.
you can chose to gamble 40hp before the round, if you win you get 120hp and if you lose, you lose 40 for losing on top of the 40 you just gambled(meaning you get -80 instead of -40). also if you win a gambled round you will do an extra 20 or 30 or 40(i don't remember exactly) damage to enemy too.
because he wants to play other lords instead of playing the same lords again and again. That's how you get bored of the game if you keep playing the same strat just because its the best
@@RanRan_11 You have phoenix dive on everyone first and dot them up with his spirits, which disrupts the enemy and makes his egg much safer. If you just immediately egg on the front line... They kill the egg very easily, and you're now down a hero.

You watched the game so you probably saw how Void just ults and dies due to heroes not caught in chrono. In short he needed disable and void was the perfect fit for it in his lineup, he has too much damage on other heroes already so Void needed to be built as a tank/disable
@@RanRan_11 but still what's point of giving abyssal to slardar and the other hero and butterfly to veno for example if he given decent items to void he would survive and figth in last rounds his bash was crucial
