No paint brush....use spoon..the bristles sometimes shred in those brushes....don't try to look fancy...just get s spoon

The brush is actually gentler on the dough, requires less skill to use. It’s even better for traditionally thin Itallian dough. One big splort of sauce, and then spread with a basting brush or whatever. I’ve done it before; aunty know what she doing

A paint brush? Why not just use a spoon to spread it. Those things releases the bristles so it's not sanitary.
