- Squeeze chutes are livestock handling equipment that are designed to safely restrain and handle farm animals. Watch an in-depth look at how engineers and fabricators design and manufacture these chutes, combining sturdy metal frames with advanced hydraulic systems to create a highly effective and efficient product. Boat propellers are designed to provide maximum thrust and speed while reducing noise and vibrations. See how engineers use advanced computer modeling software to design these propellers, followed by a series of steps involving precision machining, sanding, and polishing.

Glad to see that this program is still being produced and segments put up for free viewing.
One slight critique for this particular video regarding the composite boat propeller. The background music was rather loud.
The average cow can weigh as much as several people, extremely accurate system of weighing stuff.
It's jarring hearing a different narrator after hearing the same one for over a decade
Ditto! I don't like this A.I. ladies voice at all! 👎
It’s not an AI, it’s the original “crazy Canuck lady” narrator from forever-ago 😊
I believe there have always been different human narrators over the same video for each episode depending on the country it was released in. The units change between imperial and metric too. I think this is the Canadian version. You can usually find all the variations on TH-cam.
The series is, ir was produced by a Canadian team and this was the original narrator. Discovery liscences it repackaged it for US broadcast and redubbed with the male US narrator.
PFFT I like the UK one but you try find much of that sarcastic sniping, its all the old half dead US guy or the overly cheery Canadian woman
the trimming of the sprue is my favorite opera
Yes I'm happy to see new episodes!!
It's 5 years old, three months in YT time.
Cows! We got cows. (What a Twist)
It’s disappointing that a metal forming factory with all the in house equipment they have access to chooses to have such pathetic build quality. That guy “welding” almost broke me.
Yet he was just tacking, and when you watch further on the welds didn’t look so bad.
First! Love how it's made!
Me too
I need a squeeze chute for cats.
And propellers are also made of bronze.
I think you are on to something with a cat squeeze chute.
@@justindavis1546 for claw trimming
What's with the welding?😢
They only show the tack welds.
It’s not a squeeze chute, it’s a CRUSH! IYKYK 😜
And, of course, we need to hold the cows still so that we can attach a propeller to them.
Bring back Mark Tewksbury!
lol wow OG fan i see. There has never been a more awkward presenter and it was just adorable that that was who we chose. Real TVOntario interstitial vibe
👍🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Narrator is definitely Canadian,
No Doot Aboot It
JEFF was HERE 🎉🎉
make your cow gumboots
I worked in a machine shop when I was younger. I think it was one of the worst jobs I ever had. Repeating the same task over and over all day long and never having the satisfaction of seeing the finished product is the worst.
I can't accept how he put that propeller on at the end, he didn't even mount the lock washer correctly and it's really bothering me..... That incorrect information can cost someone money or a life. It was super easy to turn it a little to engage w/ the nut but he didn't do it.... I am thoroughly disappointed and my day is ruined. 😩
😂
Those cattle crushes have some of the poorest craftsmanship I've ever seen on this show.
Thought it was just me, those welds were kind of weak.
Mericuh
I think they are just doing a spot weld for fit and go back for full proper welding. If you go to 2:21 it's fully done
Yeah but the reason is sped, those guys were moving fast, no time for care and attention. sad to see. engineering to a price rather than a quality.
To be fair, they only appeared to show the tacked welds. The finished welds were shown later and they looked pretty good.
I am extremely interested in the content of the video but the music is terrible and jarring. Could not even get a minute into the video, music chased me off.
How can you call yourself a science channel and then start a video by saying "The average cow can weigh as much as several people".
Loose the new narrator. There is too much of an established history to make a change like this. It is more distracting than anything. It feels unnatural. The previous narrator it felt comfortable and inviting. This feels like school.

This *was* the original narrator. Discovery redubbed with the guy. I have been thinking about this choice for a long time as I moved from Canada to the US myself and compare tje cultures. She sounds more schoolteachery and has canadian vowels while he sounds more slick and newsbroadcasty. Cultural tastes or maybe legal stuff. Canadians grew up w state broadcasters who don't value slick as much and had lower budgets for post. One day I'd love to hear from Discovery about this.

Like science channel know smthg: life blocks unspotted causing vision of life keep dying, science reason that stalker dont understand but said as it. Any physical pain or whatever disliked is still a dmg movement anyway? Like someone got into always knowing first, by displaying "20yrs later", an answer that existed so long ago.
Thanks for feeding us our daily portion of word salad.
Malaysia broke up with Singapore is like a dumb guy broke up with a hot girl with lots of admirers who later become super successful in life, leaving the guy way behind and lived with a lot regrets
Why a girl narrator??? 😂😂 give me my boy Lynn 😂❤
That was Lynn. Its 2024 and Lynn transitioned.
