I like how this song can deceive spooky's jumpscare mansion players into thinking this is just the same boss fight from the real game only for it to transition into a straight up banger and instead of a gigantic hand silhouette aiming towards you and releasing a bunch of arms, you straight up get rocks dropped on you
It's still mostly the same fight though, aside from the rocks. All the other attacks basically function identical to their original counterparts. We still got the Pillar of Souls (Now a Pillar of Light for some reason.), the Fireball Volley, and the Summons.

the original Fried Calamari is definitely eerie and foreboding, but isnt really that climactic considering its supposed to be a boss theme (though I guess that makes sense given Specimen 9's backstory/origin). This definitely is a HEAVY improvement over the original and sounds more like an actual fight

For me clayman is a boss that actually makes the players battle for the points. It has strong attacks and mechanics that prevent you from just standing and attacking all the time.

Fun Fact: Clayman has a head hitbox and if you have Fire Axe and a Shadow Axe, you can dish up to 2k in several Fire Axe hits. I deleted Clayman's head faster than the average death noter autoclicking on their target.
Basically Imma just make a suggestion and a theory: My theory is that Clayman or Specimen 9 was brought back to life by Jean, Port and Xerroz. Basically, they made a deal stating this: “Jean: Alright, let’s make a deal, if I add you to Item Asylum you can kill those who wronged you. What do you say? Clayman: It’s a deal. If my creator has to remove me from IA, I’ll give them something *SCARY.*” And my suggestion is that any bosses that you play and check the shopkeeper dummy he’ll either support you or tell you backstories about them.

For people who doesnt know how to inflict damage against this boss: just deflect the flame orbs he throws and he will be downed, vulnerable to any attacks for a short period of time. Use a melee and swing the flame orbs, just time it edit: oopsie daisy i forgot this comment existed aaaaa
there's the fact that you need to time it right with some melee's though as not many have a fast fire rate so if you don't time that first hit right your dead

I remember soloing the clayman once he got 7000 hp, since everyone died (while i was the only one who was against clayman fight), and, when i won, no one said anything about me. When in another server everyone got stunlocked EXPECT A GUY WHO WAS ACTING LIKE AN ANIMAL AND HAS RAINBOW PRIDE AVATAR, he hitted the speciman 09 with his axe 3 times(boss was 60 hp), Started spamming ez, and the whole server acted like he is a god.Even forgot how we all told em to leave and stop embarrasing item asylum.And thats how society works and thank you for reading.

Since this one is very rng based, you need certain items (fish, backhand slap etc) to reflex the fireball you also need good teammates since they usually die in the first 30 seconds and it'll be frustrating
I like to think Item Asylum fits into the Dummies vs. Noobs timeline. And specimen 9 is what the noobs have done to the dummies they managed to capture. Yes I know what specimen 9 is a parody of. Little headcanon that boss_uncertified takes place either after Hellmet and before Dummies vs. Noobs, or after Dummies vs. Noobs.

This song plays when you just enter the boss and everyone gets death noted somehow in 1 second and you are the the last one left in clayman

Since this one is very rng based, you need certain items (fish, backhand slap etc) to reflex the fireball
you also need good teammates since they usually die in the first 30 seconds and it'll be frustrating
Also need to see the lost souls through 4 screen filters
I have only beaten new clayman once.
