I've been going to the gym continuously for over half months. when I really don't want to go there, I always remind myself "consistency is important."
Since last year, I’ve been reading English books continuously early in the morning. At first, I tried to read at night but I found I couldn’t consistently read books because it was hard for me to make time constantly.
Here is my version of your story :
"I've been reading English books continuously since last year. I usually read early in the morning. At first, I tried to read at night, but I found that I was constantly distracted by other things and it was difficult to read consistently."
Thanks. It sounds more natural.
It's been raining continuously for weeks, and it's so humid and hot that even a little activity makes me sweat constantly. However, thanks to the air conditioner, the temperature and humidity are maintained consistently, so I think I can endure this hot and humid rainy season.
Great example. However, the use of 'consistently' in the last sentence is a bit awkward(not wrong but) because 'maintain' already implies consistency. Let's just leave that one out because there's no need to force the use of a word or expression at the expense of the natural flow of context. If I were saying something similar, I would phrase the last sentence like the following : "However, most places are well air-conditioned nowadays, so I think I can make it through this hot and humid rainy season."
I've been practicing english continuously for over 9 weeks with the red cap teacher's book, "빨라영". I'm covering 9th unit with pace of 1 unit a week and the places where I'm practicing the book are constantly changing like my office, home, subway so on and so forth. Now I've realized why he had consistently emphasized on his streaming that the students need to buy 5 books. 😂
I have been continuously watching 빨모쌤‘s videos for several years. Ssam's hat and clothes are constantly changing. And I love that haha. 쌤’s acting and teaching skills are consistently top-notch. (쌤! I continuously visit the restaurant every month with Charlie, and he constantly keeps complaining about the service of the place. But the restaurant managers consistently maintain their management guideline.
constantly 와 keep+ing 를 같이 쓰는 것은 중복의 느낌이 있어서 잘 활용되는 패턴은 아니에요. 그래서 그냥 "he constantly complains about .."
maintain도 마찬가지로 "the restaurant managers maintain their ...." 혹은 "the restaurant managers are consistent with their ..."
Thanks for your correction!
I’ve been going that restaurant continously for over 2 years. Workers there are constantly changing but the quality of food is consistently good. I honestly dont know how they manage to do that.
In my last relationship, my ex constantly made mistakes.
