Followed Spotter on her thru hike. Yes the bear encounters have been on the rise this past month in Lincoln (Franconia Notch) The park service has been handing out bear canisters free to use for hikers which they can return once they are out of those sections in that area. Awesome update🌲👋

Hey, Ramdino, will be delighted to pray for your mom's healing. Caution, you need to check in with her nurses/doctors before you give her any of the LMNT pkgs. They are probably already giving her electrolytes and you don't want her to have too much. I've already started praying for your hike. You watch out for Debby also. Heard it was bad in PA, as well as other places. Kelly (Spotter) did a great job with that song. I heard it on her video the other day and loved it. She seemed to appreciate the compliments on it I sent her in the comments. I'm sure every male thru hiker wants to carry the extra weight in order to have a sex doo on trail with them. NOT. LOL. Graymoor is a monastery that allows campers to camp on their baseball field. They even have a cold shower for hikers. I was grateful to have a free campground in walking distance of a great place to grab a hot meal and resupply when I got stuck there for four days waiting for my mortgage company to send someone so I could sign some papers. 😆

As a laboratory medical professional please be very careful about giving your Mom any electrolytes without discussing it with her Dr. It does not take much to get your electrolytes out of balance especially if you are elderly. I pray your Mom gets better fast. Just a heads up about the temps in NH. The nights are getting colder and have been in the 50's with the days in the 70's. The temps in the Whites are even lower. The area you were referring to is the Pemigewasset. a very Indian name. It is pronounced Pehm-ih-juh-wah-seht. there are several translations for the word., good fishing place is one and another one is swift current and where the side entering current is. Low sodium (hyponatremia) is a frequent cause of falls in the elderly. Most often this does not result from lack of sodium, but an excess of water which lowers the sodium concentration. Often, fluid restriction will rebalance the sodium concentration. This kind of hyponatremia is called dilutional hyponatremia and is contrasted with the other kind of hyponatremia which is called depletional hyponatremia, in which the problem is caused by actual loss of sodium. They are treated differently despite the fact that both kinds result in a low sodium concentration. I’m sure your Mom’s physicians will address this and I pray for her complete recovery.
Tks @donrobinson5540 they gave her a hyper 3% co centration at 15mml ,then 20 then dropped it, levels went down, then 25mml, got it to 129,went to oral, and now it's at 131 and she has moved to acute rehab.She. came in a 131. So they are treating low sodium with oral supplements and also seizure meds.

Praying for your mom.
I did the 100 mile wilderness and summited Mama K last Weds. The other 5 at the Birches with us on Tuesday night were finishing the trail. One was a 21 mile section hike. Two of the others, Switch and Firefly, were finishing their US triple crown.
Weather was absolutely beautiful (of course there were some nights of rain). Temps were good. Water crossings not dangerous. They were expecting bad weather from Debbie this weekend. But the Dawg Pound (my hiking foursome) is off and recovering after a great experience.
Shout out to Poet and Hippie Chick at Shaws for their great hospitality, food drops and shuttle back to Monson.

Prayers for your momma Ramdino. You have to have a good advocate when your loved one is in the hospital and I know you are that person. After listening to your mom's electrolytes being off I remembered I had not had my LMNT for the day, so I reached for a can of the electrolyte sparking water. It so refreshing!
