I thought that too! Also because she learned all those new skills within a couple of days. Which is somewhat believable since they are really basic skills but it is kind of laughable to have her go through this whole "transformation" when in reality, she just didn't know how to make the bed yesterday and all it takes is someone showing her once. It's kind of the opposite of those montages where someone becomes a really good soccer player over the course of quite some time and we see this process sped up. With this movie, there simply isn't anything to speed up.

Avy had wished for her dad to find someone to love, so Santa made that happen by pushing two people off of a mountain. 🌟Christmas Magic 🌟

He called up that wind that caused her to fall off the mountain and crash into the tree where she could be conveniently found by Chord's character. That whole scene all I could think was "Man, this Santa is ruthless in making Christmas romances happen!"
Let us just all appreciate that Santa in an effort to grant a Christmas wish threw two people off a mountain. Thats old school Genie level wish granting. Also, did anyone else get reminded strongly of Overboard?
I honestly didn't hate it. It was a decent take on the Overboard story which I did appreciate. I laughed a few times and was entertained for the most part. I really want Lindsay to do well so I can't help but root for her. Overall it was cute and worth a watch as long as you have some drinks to go with it.
I was so excited for this movie just to watch Lindsay Lohan again. I didn’t care if it was going to be absolutely awful. I was ready to say “yeah the movie sucked but…LOHAN!” And I can honestly say, I enjoyed the cheese of the film. I’ll probably watch it again before Christmas is here and will rewatch it for future Christmases. More Lindsay films please!
This film just gives you a sense of nostalgia after watching it. Seems like this a reminiscent of all the warm-hearted Christmas movies in probably the 90s or the 2000s. Lindsay Lohan and Chord Overstress seem to have remarkable chemistry.

This is the first time someone said Chord and Lindsay's character had chemistry. Even though all the actors played their roles very well on their own, none of them actually had chemistry on screen. I'd like to see more of George Young, his character seems to be polarizing to audiences but I think he really made the film interesting.
Chord overstreet is the son of country songwriter and singer, Paul overstreet btw. Chord also released some music at least one song is pretty good. Also I wanted to add on I think that it’s funny that Lindsay is singing jingle bell rock not only because mean girls but also because that’s the song that Sam sung to Britney in glee 😂 in the forgotten but not yet truly deranged season of glee 😂
20:35 It is actually implied (or I thought it was) that he(Santa) caused her accident because as soon as the girl makes a wish for her dad to find someone to love and Santa touches his nose this weird weather comes out of nowhere causing her to fall directly into the girl's dad's path.
Her spoiled girl character felt too young for me, I was like "are they trying to make her pass for a twenty-something?". I think making her act like her character from "Just My Luck" would have worked better. She didn't need to be clueless, just blissfully unaware of how privileged she is. She was going to lose her memory anyway.
I enjoyed for what it was a fun Christmas movie. Plus I am glad they didn’t do the trope of chord character learning who Sierra really was and hiding it. I like that Tad got a happy ending. I am glad to see Lindsey acting again

There are thousands of kids of business moguls and oligarchs. Just because someone's social media has a few million or hundred thousand followers doesn't mean random people on the street will recognize them. Paris Hilton was famous for hanging out with celebs and having a celeb sextape. Sierra in the movie isn't exactly famous, just rich and spoiled.
Did anyone else notice her younger sister Aliana Lohan was one of the wardrobe people in the beginning? I felt so old Lol she also uses one of her songs in the movie soundtrack -thought that was cute - her voice has def come a long way too. 😊
I feel like it would have been better if they'd tried to do something similar to "Overboard" where the love interest knows who the rich amnesiac is but keeps her around for other reasons. He could have thought that helping her would get him a chance to convince her father to save the lodge, and then we could have an easy third-act conflict when she puts the pieces together or he starts to debate whether he's doing the right thing.
Holiday Affair has a stable, really great guy who the main woman, a young widow of a firefighter, is really happy with. Enter the spontaneous, goofy guy who she also falls for. Neither guy is the bad guy, offering up a different spin on Christmas movies with real life consequences. It's a rare, hard to find movie, but one of my family's faves.

I first saw this movie at a holiday party with a bunch of ladies and it was the BEST because it basically turned into a game of Who Can Call Out the Most Tropes Before They Happen and it was amazing. "Oh, she's gonna slide back off the hill!" "He's gonna get out the angel!" "Watch, he's gonna end up asking the guy from the hotel to go with him." Good times, got to relive a bit of that here! Instead of just chaos because Miss Amnesia was in a good relationship, then falls in love with a second good guy; the "chaos" is the two dudes accidentally falling in love while trying to help her cope with what she's gone through in a healthy, non-gross women-are-just-prizes competitive way. Boom, a fun panromantic romcom.
My friends and I have a tradition of watching the most cliché christmas movies we can find and playing christmas movie bingo, and this was absolutely the perfect movie for that.
It's kinda reassuring when to see somebody like Lindsay Lohan get back into acting. Also 1:47 There is NOT a war on Christmas, but it's a little weird when companies say "Happy Holidays" using imagery that is linked to a pretty specific holiday.
As far as a site being historic, you can make changes a building to keep it functional and useable. Things like the primary architecture that makes it historic and that are front facing proably can’t change and there may be additions and changes that are forbidden. But it isn’t a blanket ‘no changes’ rule. So it really depends is the answer, but being declared historic doesn’t mean that you can’t make changes or upgrade, you just can’t plow down the building and replace it with a full modern structure.
I just hope most people know that fluffy cringey christmas movies is indeed a genre and not that this movie Lindsay starred in is just specically cringey hahaha.

Watched this movie with my folks the night it came out! It was so nice to see Lindsay in something again. The call back to Mean Girls with the jinglebell rock was fun. I quite enjoyed seeing Chord/Sam/Trouty-Mouth again too. Glee was so cursed lmao. For such a mid christmas near hallmark movie it was very entertaining. We love the goofy holiday fluff XD I was in the same boat re Lindsay Lohan, too - just her comeback alone makes me happy and I am HERE for it! Also, have you seen "Imagine Me & You" (2005)? Not Christmas or amnesia related, but that one I thought did do a decent job of making both romantic interests be good, decent people and therefore a little harder to choose (versus the easy "Oh, well option A is a jerk and now I realize that, soooo..." XP) Some good cheese too. There's probably some other better options out there too, but that was a first thought

Half way through your description, I realised this movie is functionally identical to the one with London Tipton and Detective All-State, only for some reason it's a romantic comedy rather than a psychological thriller.
I am glad to see that Lindsey Lohan is making a comeback as I think that she is actually a talented actress, but the script for this movie is basically the movie "Overboard" done years ago by Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell. The only real difference is that this movie is set at Christmas time.

Of all the Christmas movies I've seen I just realized this is pretty non-toxic. Some of them get real sketch with the romance but Lindsey and Chord have a cute relationship with sweet chemistry. It's like messy but wholesome.

My problem is Sierra is the Paris Hilton of this universe and NO ONE recognizes her. In this day and age of the internet. And also a child mentioning her dead mom with no signs of sadness lol I know this movie is purely for entertainment and a romantic Christmas experience, but come on! It still wasn’t the worst cheesy Christmas movie though. Happy to see Lindsay again!

There are thousands of kids of business moguls and oligarchs. Just because someone's social media has a few million or hundred thousand followers doesn't mean random people on the street will recognize them. Paris Hilton was famous for hanging out with celebs and having a celeb sextape. Sierra in the movie isn't exactly famous, just rich and spoiled.
Did anyone else notice her younger sister Aliana Lohan was one of the wardrobe people in the beginning? I felt so old Lol she also uses one of her songs in the movie soundtrack -thought that was cute - her voice has def come a long way too. 😊

I feel like it would have been better if they'd tried to do something similar to "Overboard" where the love interest knows who the rich amnesiac is but keeps her around for other reasons. He could have thought that helping her would get him a chance to convince her father to save the lodge, and then we could have an easy third-act conflict when she puts the pieces together or he starts to debate whether he's doing the right thing.
Holiday Affair has a stable, really great guy who the main woman, a young widow of a firefighter, is really happy with. Enter the spontaneous, goofy guy who she also falls for. Neither guy is the bad guy, offering up a different spin on Christmas movies with real life consequences. It's a rare, hard to find movie, but one of my family's faves.
You're so right, it was fun watching this with you! I first saw this movie at a holiday party with a bunch of ladies and it was the BEST because it basically turned into a game of Who Can Call Out the Most Tropes Before They Happen and it was amazing. "Oh, she's gonna slide back off the hill!" "He's gonna get out the angel!" "Watch, he's gonna end up asking the guy from the hotel to go with him." Good times, got to relive a bit of that here! Thanks for the fun! 😄

Instead of just chaos because Miss Amnesia was in a good relationship, then falls in love with a second good guy; the "chaos" is the two dudes accidentally falling in love while trying to help her cope with what she's gone through in a healthy, non-gross women-are-just-prizes competitive way. Boom, a fun panromantic romcom.
My friends and I have a tradition of watching the most cliché christmas movies we can find and playing christmas movie bingo, and this was absolutely the perfect movie for that.
It's kinda reassuring when to see somebody like Lindsay Lohan get back into acting.
Also 1:47 There is NOT a war on Christmas, but it's a little weird when companies say "Happy Holidays" using imagery that is linked to a pretty specific holiday.

As far as a site being historic, you can make changes a building to keep it functional and useable. Things like the primary architecture that makes it historic and that are front facing proably can’t change and there may be additions and changes that are forbidden. But it isn’t a blanket ‘no changes’ rule. So it really depends is the answer, but being declared historic doesn’t mean that you can’t make changes or upgrade, you just can’t plow down the building and replace it with a full modern structure.
I'm honestly excited to watch this film, having a nice cliche Christmas movie with a hot drink just hits different.
I just hope most people know that fluffy cringey christmas movies is indeed a genre and not that this movie Lindsay starred in is just specically cringey hahaha.

“I truly feel like I’m on the mountain with them” with the mountain in the background and “ohh 😮 I like chaos” were the top underrated highlights for me

It’s such a dumb movie, but I loved it. I’m so glad to see Lindsay Lohan acting again. We judged these actresses SO hard in the 2000s, but in hindsight, they were probably messed up from their childhoods. 😔

Watched this movie with my folks the night it came out! It was so nice to see Lindsay in something again. The call back to Mean Girls with the jinglebell rock was fun.
I quite enjoyed seeing Chord/Sam/Trouty-Mouth again too. Glee was so cursed lmao. For such a mid christmas near hallmark movie it was very entertaining.

We love the goofy holiday fluff XD I was in the same boat re Lindsay Lohan, too - just her comeback alone makes me happy and I am HERE for it! Also, have you seen "Imagine Me & You" (2005)? Not Christmas or amnesia related, but that one I thought did do a decent job of making both romantic interests be good, decent people and therefore a little harder to choose (versus the easy "Oh, well option A is a jerk and now I realize that, soooo..." XP) Some good cheese too. There's probably some other better options out there too, but that was a first thought

Honestly, it’s just great to see Lindsay Lohan in movies again and it looks like she’s having fun; plus unlike a lot of Hallmark Christmas Movies that seem like they just recycle the exact same plot FOR EVERY SINGLE MOVIE; there seems to be a bit more effort just a tad but those special effects…..though I have no room since I love the Sharknado movies; also Amanda perhaps you should talk to someone over your Pokémon addiction, you may have to catch ‘em all but we want to know you are mostly okay

Half way through your description, I realised this movie is functionally identical to the one with London Tipton and Detective All-State, only for some reason it's a romantic comedy rather than a psychological thriller.
I am glad to see that Lindsey Lohan is making a comeback as I think that she is actually a talented actress, but the script for this movie is basically the movie "Overboard" done years ago by Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell. The only real difference is that this movie is set at Christmas time.

Chord is the only Glee cast member to have an individual platinum single (Hold On) which he wrote in memory of Cory Monteith. He will live off royalties of that thing for years since it seems to play over the angsty montages from every young adult TV drama ever.
Note: There are a couple cast members who have platinum ALBUMS but they are Broadway cast recordings. Also, even though Finneas has an Oscar & like a bazillion Grammys, all the platinum records he has are for writing/producing for his sister (Billie Eilish…duh😁). And yes, I’m a little scared that I know all of this information

Of all the Christmas movies I've seen I just realized this is pretty non-toxic. Some of them get real sketch with the romance but Lindsey and Chord have a cute relationship with sweet chemistry. It's like messy but wholesome.
