yay I missed these the first time round as I was on holiday, never could I have imagined that 22 years later I'd be watching them on a phone (and or course brookie would be axed)
I often think the same. Back then it would have been on live tv on the week, the omnibus, recorded on vhs or on a channel that does repeats. If Brookside was around the same time as TV on demand, it would have survived.
Diane Murray was my introduction to Bernie Nolan/ the Nolan family. I will always remember her as Diane Murray as well as Bernie Nolan. What a fabulous entertainer and fabulous person all round.
Les Dennis is absoultely dire in this. He is basically just himself and gives nothing to the character. Not a bad comedian and good presenter but actor, no.
It’s been five whole minutes since Katie mentioned it onscreen so for the sake of reminding anyone who didn’t know, she loved Clint Moffat and wanted to spend the rest of her days with him. But all that changed when Ron killed him whilst rightfully defending his property. Now it’s like a part of Katie died and she’ll never feel those wonderful feelings again now. She isn’t one for keeping her feelings to herself is Katie Rogers.
19:38 The last appearance of Darren and Victoria. In the last few months, both characters had been floundering like spare parts. Overall I liked the Darren character. His best storyline was when he got caught up with Susannah in late 2000. After she died, his character got really boring. Still I think they could have done more with the Darren character. Perhaps they could have killed off Victoria or something.
I was still at school myself when this was first broadcast and can certainly say there was a lot of horrid girls just like Paige and Imelda about! Absolutely evil and vile, always in pairs and groups, preying on the innocent. They always get whats coming to them in the end!

Why did'nt Clint just ring the Police and report his Brother if he felt so strongly.
Yay kids tv theme music again lol
I wonder if we remembered it back then. Or do we only remember it now because e binge watch Brookside so easily (thanks to these fantastic uploads😊)
Really liked the relationship between Anthea and Rachel. A shame they got rid of Anthea, she was a great character
Also it’s funny how Rachael calls Ron Mr Dixon…! There must be a reason for it..??!
I remember all these episodes, I always found Mick's character funny but I hated the way he shouted at Emily in that last episode!
Can't believe Mick kicking off over a packet of ham poor Emily 😢
think it was more because he was dumped😂
Not even decent Ham only cheap wafer thin ham
Les Dennis scouse accent lol
Yvonne is leaving to be with Patrick in Albert square
I didn't even know Les is a scouser in real life, my mum told me and didn't believe her til I googled it! I could never work out his accent
Mick has about as much luck with the ladies as katie has with men😂, i personally thought him and yvonne made a good couple and him and marianne

Those bullies can't act.
one's a DJ in real life now, Billie Clements

Best young couple ever Tim and Emily
If that's the best young couple ever then we're in serious trouble.
Was this Trona's last appearance in Brookie?
Next weeks
Did Emily notices her purse through the fence at the woods?
After Emily’s purse was missing did they report to the police 👮♀️!?
Emily doesn’t believe a burglar in the salon 💇♀️!
Did Emily found her purse 👜 with easy money inside after when Anthony’s silly friends drop it away!?
Wonder if mick gets a discount on engagement rings 😏🙄
Lol. Yep poor old Mick, a nice guy, a soft heart but sometimes a short temper and zero luck with women.
Mick is a nasty violent person when he doesn't get his own way Mike is very annoying
A think Mick left at the right time show was going downhill fast
