    I know where this is and it doesn’t look like a slum it appears the majority of residents look after and take care of their homes ,in todays climate with house prices as inflated as they are I’m sure many people would consider themselves extremely fortunate to have a home and a piece of land to feel safe and secure in such a beautiful setting

    Nice tour, thanks for sharing. But definitely not a slum! Lots of nice homes, a few need some roof repairs, a couple have allowed 'stuff' to rob them of room to enjoy the outdoors, but all in all a very nice place.

    Maybe the people that are living here are people that choose not to live above their means and are quite content,shouldn't judge

    The Canadian & American blue collar, rural folk seem to be very similar. Much more than even Australians or Northern Europeans.

    I don't agree with you on your title for this video. (By the way, I enjoy your videos!) This is not a slum in rural Ontario (Muskoka). This is people's "happy place." Some of these are very cute. I live in Sturgeon Falls pop. over 7,000 (grew up in Scarborough and left there 20 years ago) and people here, have homes like this with multiple sheds, untidy etc. This is near north Ontario. This is very common up here and if you look closely many of these trailers cum houses have neat enough grass, flowers, nice cars and trucks and flowers in pots. This isn't a slum. Hate to correct you, but this is not a slum. It's peoples "happy place" where they can feel "cottagey" and still connect to Hwy 11 and probably Gravenhurst, Bracebridge, Huntsville and other smaller near north Ontario places.

    Just as a FYI I live there ans I would like it to be known that most of trailer here are use as summer homes and I don't like people calling where I live a slum I don't like people know where this is and it is illegal to put people license plates and house numbers on the internet I'm asking nicely take this down

      Nothing in the public view is illegal to record. People have car cameras. That's complete hogwash. I don't believe it's a slum either. It was forwarded to and labeled as such hence the question mark. There has been a history of violence in this neighborhood though.

    • @itsjoelee
      @itsjoelee 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      It's public and if you don't know what you are talking about, you should probably just stay quite, everyone's smart until they express their beleifs, remain smart.

    Your gimbal appears to be riding on the roof of a later model Ford F-150, judging by the shape of the rear roof corner and the side mirror. 😉
    Not all of these trailer homes looked dumpy. Not much different than older, middle-class neighbourhoods in many Canadian cities.

      @TurfToursCanada I was not referring to a "retirement community" in the strictest sense of the word. Just a working, lower middle-class community, perhaps nearing retirement age average. When you're banging out 45-50 hour work weeks, it's sometimes hard to find the energy to keep up on around the house projects. My apologies for the misidentificattion of your truck.

    Is this a rural slum? What a stupid question. To the people with silver spoons in their butts, maybe. Just looks like modest homes in a rural setting, people who enjoy hunting and fishing and less government. A few places that have garbage lying around, but you find that in any neighborhood. Most places take care of their yards. What is not to like.
