You are both 100 percent correct. It was like 8 months before recording it in the studio. Old Grey Whistle Test having them on in 1975 seemed to put the blueprint into the airwaves for all future metal bands. If I'm not mistaken Toni Iommi promoted them in some big way during those days. Maybe one of you can confirm that. People need to do a full video reaction with first time viewing of that 1975 Dreamer Deceiver and then go right to a reaction to the Trial by Fire video that just came out. I guess Rob really meant it in 1975 shouting out those lyrics, "WE SHALL STAY FOREVER!!"
Judas Priest was quite a different band in the 70s from what they were in the 80s and beyond. Their 70s albums are among my favourites of theirs to this day.
You guys really get it better in my mind than stairway my admiration to you this is truly memorable since first heard in the early 70s thank you for recreating my memories ❤️
I can't stand this band but love this song. Love the slow trippy start and the gradual build up to the finishing crescendo. Much better than their metal shite. With Dan's reference to leather, that came after this album when their main objective was to become gay icons at all cost, including their musical integrity. I did hear Halford had a 10 inch butt plug sewn into his tight leather pants to help him reach the high notes.
Hey guys! We will be posting the full length to this awesome song next week!
This is the full song for Dreamer Deceiver. You must be playing Dreamer Deceiver/Deceiver.
Part 2 of this song is Deceiver. It started when Haford hit the major 3rd note at the end.
There's an amazing performance of this song live at BBC, Old grey whistle test, it will completely change your entire preception of Judas Priest
That live version is epic, better than the studio.

So you should have carried on to Deceiver which is a continuation of the same track. Deceiver is the crescendo 2nd movement to this first part.
I think the next part it goes into his island of domination.

I always get shivers listening to this song. I put it whenever I’m feeling sad or angry. Works everytime.
Halford, the greatest instrument of all!
Reverse cymbal crash was that sound. Heavily compressed.
You didn't play the whole song
Watch it live from the old grey whistle test. And then make an assumption. 😊
Halford's white belt and shoes were probably the only leather he had on while recording this. This was a few years before the brand switch.
Thanks Joseph!

No leather on this one.

Their 70s stuff is great, they have always been metal, metal was just better in the 70s.
You cut the song off!!
That’s the link we got. We’ll do a bonus video soon!
This guy needs to stop talking over the greatest song ever recorded.
There is a version of this song on TH-cam with no talking. This is a reaction channel where there is talking.
@@SightAfterDark but you actually have to listen in order to react properly. One actually has to stop talking to listen.
You only listened to half the song!!!
🤦 🤦♂️ we’ve been told
