Great song and great chord arrangement ! When I first heard it many years ago I thought it was the Stylistics, a group I admire and Thom Bell is a great writer/ producer !
Devo hats, a picture of George Clinton on the wall and giving a guitar tutorial on Blue Magic’s “Sideshow” (“Spell” is another great one from them)? #subscribed!
Fantastic. This is great Dave! Hey, do you remember "Love Grows"? (not a request, you just get me groovin on these "oldies", takes me back to a better time)
Another great chord heavy song. I wonder if that chord progression started on piano or paper first? I also wonder if the melody or chord progression came first? It's getting hard to ask the writers with these older songs as many of them are no longer with us.
hi DAVE S CAN you do a guitar lesson of IAN THOMAS SONG PILOTS and did you know that SANTANA did a cover of one of his song HOLD ON IF YOU HAVE time look live IAN Thomas and also do you know BRUCE COKBURN IF so look at Austin city limit it was out of this world
I don't know Pilots but I will check it out. Hold On on Shango is a great tune and I also loved the Russ Ballard song Nowhere to Run off the same record.
Glad you did it. Rich tune......
Yet another great lesson - can't go wrong with that Philly Soul, thanks so much Dave!

I bet piano. Chord structure is too complex for guitar 🎸.
Could you do Wildflower by Skylark?
I did

Wow. Ian Thomas is Dave Thomas's brother. All the songs he did I know. Just great.
