The Sea World Culture and Art Center held a solo exhibition of Italian designer Gaetano Pesce, presenting 53 hand-made works, 38 manuscripts and photographic reproductions, reviewing his creative process over the past 50 years. Born in 1939, Gaetano Pechet was one of the most iconic Italian designers after World War II. Pei Xie believes that "perfection does not exist". Many of the products he designs are made by hand, and the creator's personality and emotions are integrated into the production process. The most important exhibit at this exhibition is the first-generation wooden model of the "UP5_6 armchair". The UP5_6 armchair is Pecher's representative work. The main body of the chair is shaped into a plump female figure. The spherical footstool is connected to the chair through chains, symbolizing the close relationship between mother and child. On the other hand, it also implies sexism and prejudice. Chains bind women.
