"There was Eru, the One, who in Arda is called Ilúvatar; and he made first the Ainur, the Holy Ones, that were the offspring of his thought, and they were with him before aught else was made. And he spoke to them, propounding to them themes of music; and they sang before him, and he was glad."
@ivanadrljo While I share your love for Tolkien's world, it might be better, I think, to nurture an authentic desire to learn about the influences on his works (i.e., the books of the Bible, European myths, and other great authors, like Lord Dunsany). In this way, one does gain insight into the foundations of The Lord of the Rings. It is also the case that Tolkien would not have been in favor of a religion being fashioned from his works. But it is good to cherish the richness of his works - as you do!
@ All religions are made up anyway and represent the same archetypical story of our past. Tolkien has given the most beautiful of names to what once was a reality. And it would be a delight to hear Silmalirium read in a Church instead of the tales of Lucky Luke and Matthew McChaugahey. Don’t worry, after that pretentiousness, you won’t be called to take on a place of the Priest.
Then the voices of the Ainur, like unto harps and lutes, and pipes and trumpets, and viols and organs, and like unto countless choirs singing with words, began to fashion the theme of Ilúvatar to a great music; and a sound arose of endless interchanging melodies woven in harmony that passed beyond hearing into the depths and into the heights, and the places of the dwelling of Ilúvatar were filled to overflowing, and the music and the echo of the music went out into the Void.
Ya know something. I’ve truly never given much thought to what Eru would look like in any familiar kind of form. This image is stunning I have to say I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!
Very powerful meditation. There's a saying with many meanings that saying thank you 3 times increases the power of the thank you by making it complete. So I'd just like to add : Thank you, thank you, thank you. May divine light, love, peace and prosperity be upon us all. ☀✨
It's actually a good idea to create Sauron with everyone in his hand! For this image I had to base it on Sauron, since there isn't much of Eru Iluvatar. Furthermore, because he is the Supreme God, he does not have a given form.

People don't want God to be real because He holds us accountable and to standards. Humans don't want to have to answer to a higher power, they want to do whatever they want and be selfish with no consequences. But Jesus is VERY real and will one day (soon) judge the world, whether the world likes it or not.
Eru is a fictional being from a work of fiction. No one believes that he's real. Anymore than Gollum is real. What people like about Eru is that he is consistent. He doesn't behave like a spiteful child for millennia until his creations decide that being vindictive and capricious isn't really very godly and then change completely into a being of perfect love and compassion. From the moment he sings the Ainur into.existence and has their harmonies create the world, he has a grand design and all his actions and his inactions are in service to that design.
God is not about being real, it’s about the feeling. “God” is the feeling you receive when you feel connected to creation and peace itself. To embrace balance and harmony. For some, this music and art brings them close to that sensation and feeling of connection, for you it’s another avenue. So long as we all feel a deeper connection to the greater being, it doesn’t matter what form it takes. “God” by definition is unknowable and beyond human comprehension so we are allowed to interpret it however we see fit.

Someone ought to make a LOTR church. Like Scientology but without extortions and the other stuff. How would the new religion be called?

Of the various fantasy I read, No book can ever come close to the wonder of LOTR and Silmarillion.
And it was not void.
This is what Eru must have been singing when he created the Ainurs ! Magnificent my friend !
Amazingly beautiful music, very much like something you'd expect to hear in the Silmarillion.

I'm glad you like it ♥ it was a challenge since there aren't many images of Eru out there
@@Symbology-Cinematics no kidding! Super cool 😄
@@Jakblade The image looks great, but Eru, in fact, never took any kind of physical form. He is God and therefore is not constrained by materiality.
@ aware
Eru is supposed to be God and has no physical form and definitely wouldn't look like that...

I am become Kala, the remaker of worlds.
I'm convinced this beautiful image is Annatar.
The image is beautiful, ethereal and yet also very alien/otherworldly.
i thought that image is the One, the Eru, called Iluvatar.

amazing job as always but that guy reminds more of Annatar the Lord of Gifts than of Eru Ilúvatar lol
Amazing!

Eru must have found time long before he thought of the Ainur.

I think Melkor liked death metal more lol

It would be a shame if someone decided to sing their own sing during this
The thing is there is nothing that could be sung which would not have its uttermost origin in Eru Illuvatar
