Such a wonderful event. A celebration of humanity. I was amazed with how it ended. And I was crying while Christina was singing a million dreams.
This is not humanity. They are just showing off their wealth. Millions of people including women and children are in famine in African countries and Afghanistan, Syria, Ukraine etc. They should help them rather than wasting billions on such useless festivals in the name of harmony and peace.

Unforgettable memories Expo Dubai connected the world
This was truly a beautiful EXPO. - I've designed EXPOs and World Fairs. They are wonderful "gifts" to the world - for their inspiration. For the hope they offer, that people of the world can live in peace and freely share, without prejudice, without the restraint of racism.
I've looked back at EXPOs and World Fairs built in the past, in the 1800s and early 1900s, such as in Great Britain or North America. Beautiful buildings were built for these events that must have been amazing to walk through, or even to see from a distance. But, as soon as the event was over, these buildings were all torn down. - all we have left are some architect's sketches to amaze us. This video of the Closing Ceremony, and all the other videos that were taken this year, have allowed the entire world to experience 'this' EXPO like none other in the past. And the experience, even if from a distance, was beautiful. Joyful. Hopeful.
Walt Disney, when his Magic Kingdoms were becoming successful and his movies were doing well, wanted to build a lasting EXPO. But Disney also wished to turn it into something even more. He wanted his EXPO to also be a home to a university, where the best and brightest university students from around the world would be invited to study for a year during their young developing lives. In a setting where they would share with other students from all around the world, learning from each other, studying the latest and best of everything. This never happened, because Walt Disney died, and his company was taken over by those who were more interested in the financial 'bottom line'. Disney's EPCOT was built, but it became a new tourist attraction of rides and restaurants and gift shops, and nothing else. Nothing like what Walt Disney originally hoped it could become. Something that might change the world for the better.
When Dubai's EXPO was built, the setting looked so beautiful it became my personal, humble hope that it could - because of its design - possibly fulfill Walt Disney's long ago dream. Be converted into a 'world university'. I was also inspired by the nearby proximity of what was once Alexander the Great's famous library, that was sadly burnt to the ground, accidentally, by Julius Cesar and his Roman army. So much knowledge was lost, when the building that housed scrolls from distant lands went up in flames, in a setting were people could come to study, and share, and talk, and listen to each other. It was my hope that Dubai's EXPO might pick up where Alexander left off. Create a high tech library, a university setting, a place of inspiration that could last for decades, if not centuries.
So sad I missed the adventure of expo 😭😭😭😭 please open it back again I beg you expo 😭😭

I have so much respect for the commitment, integrity and passion shown by Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, every day as a member of staff I had the privilege of watching him host the leaders of the world for their National Days. However I can’t comment on Expo without appreciating the leadership of H.E Reem Al Hashimi and Ahmed Al Khatib, without them this would never have been the greatest show on earth.
Absolutely. I also worked at Expo and every time I was free I loved to listen to him while he was receiving the guests in Al Wasl. His speech here while the closing ceremony was really moving. I really love it and I listend to it several times now and it‘s still touching. Thank you Sheikh Nahyan and to Reem al Hashimi!
