But he did which burnt his wings and he fell leading to his death. The part 1 of this album represents the bright side of the cover, telling a story about falling in love way too close, way too deep. The second part is dark side (like the album cover) it focuses on the different problems in the relationship and how dark it all actually was. In the end it burns him and he falls to his death. The second part explores the death of the relationship. This album has the theme of falling- falling in love and falling to death.
Oh, the first time I heard this album I didn't like it too much because I was too focused on the Mind of Mine sound. But I listened to it again a year after it was released, and let me tell you, it hit me so hard! It's my favorite Zayn album to date! So if you want a tip: don't listen to it thinking about Mind Of Mine 😆
This first part of the album represents the rise of Icarus with his wings, that's way there's more happy sweet love songs and after the Icarus Interlude there's the fall of Icarus so there's more emotional dark sounding songs.
She likes the songs that others hate and dislikes songs others love. Zayn being experimental and having people who like multitude of music styles... I find reaction videos he never pleases everyone because cover many demographics. Alot if the time most reaction videos pigeon-hole him to 1D, corporate, commercial standards and their musical biases and tastes. It's been interesting watching 👀 different ones.
I definitely think you’ll love the second half of the album. I feel like this album is definitely more about the ambiance and vibes when you listen to it as a whole.
Zayns so eclectic. I find thst for Icarus Falls there are so many different likes sbd dislikes. I was so surprised she liked stand still!! It's one of my favourites, and it pains me that most reactions hate or feel 'meh' about it.
I listen to this album on shuffle. I did not like IF on initial listen by track number but now I actually prefer this album of all 3. There are 2 songs on it I skip but otherwise this grew on me and lives there now.
The First part you just listened to is the "I'm so in love part" but I think you'll love the second part. You can feel the vibe it has because of the interlude 😌

Flight of the stars is genuinely one of my favorites of Zayn not just Icarus Falls but his entire discography, give it time you might get into it more like with Natural
