    I love sunset on the beach. Ever time my husband and I are on vacation at the beach I have to be at every sunset no matter what. Dinner can wait. You only get to see so many sunsets on the beach in your lifetime and I’m not going to miss one. One night in Florida we were sitting on the beach at night and a sea turtle came out of the water right in front of us. Thanks for letting me see one more sunset. 🌅 🐢🐚

      Hi Sandy! It's spooky for me too, but sometimes I find some great stuff because during the beach season, the beaches are more crowded and we have other beachcombers to compete with....but not at night! lol. Next week we will be back to daytime hours! See you then!

      @@PlumIslandSeaCabin oh that will be cool. I’ve never been to the beach. Well I have been to the one by the Great Salt Lake that is close by but it is sand mixed with a lot of salt. It is so concentrated that you float in the water and is full of brine shrimp. The level is really low right now as we are having a drought. I want to go out and get some pictures of the old piers and sunken boats that are showing and of course the dance hall called Saltaire. Maybe one of these days I can. Take care my friend. Sending hugs and love to you and your wife.😊🐚

      Hi Rachelle! Yes! I was bummed when I realized they weren't in my bag. Even sometimes when it rains they fog up or II have to take them off because the drops on the lenses impair my vision. People don't realize how hard shelling is! 😂😂😂 But we did pretty well without them! It wasn't too cold. That dat was high 60's at night and during the day it was around 78! This week we are supposed to get into the 90's! Can you believe it! The water temps are around high 50's this time of year. Next week we will be back to daytime shelling! See you on the beach!

    I went there and hadn't gone to the beach in forever it seemed and that lost wad closed!!! I paid for the year... went on yhe beach in lot 1 and there were way too many people so I left. So how can I know before I drive over 4 hours out of my way to make sure that is open?
    P.S. We should go shell'n this year together.... my kids want to meet you lol!

    • @PlumIslandSeaCabin
      @PlumIslandSeaCabin  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Mary!
      Oh no 4 hours! Yes, most of the gates are closes not until August fir the nesting plovers. This time of year is very hard. I have it listed in my video descriptions and mention it in some videos, but try calling the refuge before making the trip or email me @ PlumIslandSeaCabin@gmail.com and I can tell you :) Beyone lot 1 (which is terribly crowded and no good for shelling, if you drive all the way out to the very end (about 8 miles) there are the Bar Head rocks at Sandy Point. That's beyond the refuge and is a reservation beach in Ipswich. That is good for shelling but the lot fills up quick this time of year. Because of this I try to go 2 hours before low tide at a sunrise time so it's not crowded. Or when it's pouring. The best time to come is in the fall Sept October. Storms start churning up the sea, the gates are open and less people. Next time you come, contact me and I can help! Also, I would love to meet the kids!! Thanks so much for watching!!

      @@PlumIslandSeaCabin I started driving down there and when the road got bumpy I was just like forget it and turned around. I really like the beach better in the winter to be honest... for shelling, but also for the peace and to be alone to hear the ocean... it's beautiful. I will definitely email you to see when is a good time and maybe me and the Fam can tag along with you and your wife for fun shelling beach day! Thank you to for being so helpful on your videos and in commenting back so others can experience the joy of finding treasures as well 😊
