Right before the metal gear strikes with what should have been striking blow it repeats "Getting close to it's last breath" when we know how reversed those lyrics would get in one moment. It's the small prey killing it's giant predator. Damn.
I think the positions are switched from the very start, with metal gears already on their last legs and becoming increasingly obsolete in the shadow of superior cybernetic enhancements
I love how you can make a stick-figure animation into something so badass. The effects when the drop hits really sells the weight of Ray and Raiden's power, better than even most of the other recreations of this scene that I've seen.

Just to truly prove how far you've come, I think it'd be a great way to close the loop with a classic "back where it all began" type thing. But I understand if your not particularly enthused at that idea.
