I just want to write this comment here in case anyone misunderstands what I said in the video: I didn't say I didn't LIKE Gento the first time I heard it. But I fully admit, I didn't APPRECIATE it! Back then, I had no idea about SB19, about Ppop, anything. They were some of my first reactions on the channel, and I went into Gento not evening knowing how to pronounce Gento, let alone which member was which, and so on. I LOVED, and continue to love, Gento, as a song, as an MV -- and the choreo too. What I was saying in the video was that because of how new everything was back then, I was getting things wrong, I was missing things because I was overwhelmed. But I just wanted to make that clear. I have a playlist of videos I use to practise my dancing, when I'm having good pain days, and a mirrored version of Gento is on there -- and has been on there for many months! I just wanted to say that, in case anything I said in the video suggested otherwise! I thought I was clear in the video, but I want to make sure! Thank you for watching everyone!

13:29 Everyone was amazing but listening on a good set of speaker or headphones, you could hear Ken's voice vibrating/humming... Even in the harmonies, indeed goosebumps-inducing.
I definitely could! Everyone was amazing! I don't know if it's cause these new headphones are just better, but it sounded so clear and I loved being able to hear the harmonies

I agree! Josh's rap, my god. So amazing! I love the way he approaches raps. Same as Ken. HO-LY the studio recording, I feel, removes some of the nuance of his vocal, which we get to see here in The First Take
These boys don't need a back track for vocals and for production layers. I'm not surprised that they did very well in this environment. They constantly recreate those layers live using adlibs.
No they don't! And I'm not surprised either! I know Pablo, and I think Josh? was nervous before this, but they had nothing to be nervous about. None of them do. They're all world class!

I always try to give each member some appreciation, because I love them all, and they all deserve it. I always worry about making sure I'm aware of all the members in a performance -- which is easier in a performance like this, but I'm here for SB19, I'm not just here for 1 or two members (yes I have my biases, but I appreciate all the members)

It's okay if you didn't like Gento the first time you heard it maybe because you're used to KPop type of music and since SB19's songs/music is unique you got new to it. But as you listen to them more specially like this one where you can hear their raw vocals, that's when you learn to appreciate them. That's why they are called the Live Monsters. They EAT mics 😄 Btw, you said that you are a Justin-Stell bias. They actually do have a duet on SHALLOW (by Lady Gaga) and it's a live performance video. Please check it out! 🔥
First off I didn't say I didn't like it! What I'm saying is I didn't APPRECIATE it on that FIRST listen! It was the first time I was reacting to a new group -- so I didn't know any of the members -- I didn't know what I was getting into, period (full stop). But I did like it! Second, I am aware of the duet. I haven't reacted to it yet, but I do plan to in the future. I have a long list of SB19 related content on my Spreadsheet to get through 😂 Because when I got started, I was recommended A LOT!

Justin's voice is just unique and the quality of tone is amazing, the diction and pronounciation is awsome, especially the clarity of his voice is just wow, aside from his visual and his ability to direct an MV, I'm so love this boy Justin, the talent is over flowing.

Hey it's understandable because Gento MV has so many good things going on all at once that you won't definitely know where to laser focus so no one really won't get everything the first time. But this performance specifically is really stripped down thus it highlighted their vocals.

Thank you! I just didn't want to be misconstrued, as though I didn't like Gento, because I really did -- I wouldn't have continued reacting to them, if I didn't. Like genuinely, I know a lot of A'TIN watch my reactions now (a lot for me anyway), but I wouldn't have continued reacting to SB19 if I didn't enjoy it. I'm genuinely so glad I found them, as a group and as individuals, they have made me happier as a person!

Me too, i'm glad i found them at the right time, just months after i experienced betrayal of a relationship and right before i was about to apply for my dream job. They're the biggest tool as to why i have moved on already and not wallow myself in anger and self pity not only because i was preoccupied binge watching their videos but also their music and what they've been through made me even more inspired to get back up, to approach life differently and realized that everything will be okay.

It’s understandable that on the first listen you don’t appreciate it as much. I was the same. But Gento made me curious and when I finally understood, that’s when the real appreciation and genuine love for them came. ❤️❤️
I love this arrangement honestly, because you really get to appreciate all the nuances that their voices can bring to the table and why their differences individually works so well/fits prefectly as a group. ❤❤
Out of the 5 of them, Stell is the only extrovert. Justin and Ken are the most introvert but it shows in different ways. 🥹

Yeah and I tried to, but I was so overwhelmed. Lately I've just had those regrets that I didn't appreciate it as much as I do now!
When I heard this arrangement and said it felt different, I honestly thought it was just me, and then someone else said that the arrangement had been changed. I've never felt so validated in my life 😂 I was like: what if it's not actually different, and this is just how everyone's been hearing it this whole time 😂 I'm autistic, and I'm have quite a lot of sensory aspects to that, but I think one thing that really benefits me is that I notice those differences! I'm glad it was able to show all the nuances!
I think I've seen that in the early Show Breaks that I've reacted to. You're absolutely right: I could see Justin taking time away in the mountains, or in the faraway places -- or even maybe dreaming up a fantastical place in his room or something; while Ken, I don't know how he'd take his time to himself: maybe writing music, but I could see both of them doing that.
AWWW! They've come so far! I'll be honest, I often have a problem with numbers -- I'm discovering it more and more as an adult. So when I was saying the 5 mics thing in my head, I was floating between 3 and 6, like I could've said any number between 3 and 6. I had to really focus on the 5 members to make sure I said 5 aha! I'm so proud of how far they've come, both as a group and as individuals -- I'm so happy that they're able to break new ground together like this!

It’s the best decision honestly. They just got the core of Gento and we get to hear their magic. How they can still make the song feel full and lively without the effects and such. ❤❤❤
