Wow so Bell Media is actually still acknowledging what Much used to be. Thought you were memory hole-ing it entirely. You can’t use the “kids don’t watch music videos on TV” excuse on stuff like this, kids would show up like this for a live taping with BTS or Billie Eilish just like they did for One Direction, Fall Out Boy, Spice Girls or Bon Jovi at different points. You just don’t want to spend the money or effort on original content when you can show them sweet imported sitcom reruns instead. Just such a shame. I’m going to miss old Much forever.
same. it thanks to muchmusic and muchmoremusic i learned so many artists and bands old and new. i especially miss thier retro video, and thier music shows/documentaries. these days kids gotta watch music videos exclusively on youtube. i just found out they got rid of much retro lunch, the only music program on that channel.
Every year around the holidays, the holiday wrap content was honestly my favourite. Christmas movie classics? Nah, much holiday wrap brings me back!

Kids wouldn't show up this crazy for bts or billie eilish this was unheard of how crazy they went for one direction and I like those two but one direction era was insane, bts fanbase is alot older than one directions too, different demographic
I remember going to that shit was the biggest shit show in the entire world. I was one of the first couple of people in line and out of nowhere an entire line of people butted me and they ended up being the first people in the barricade. The boys were supposed to actually come outside and do a lot of outside stuff but because it was one of the biggest outdoor crowds they ever had people were getting trampled as you can see at the very end people are being pulled out of the crowd as people were getting crushed. I remember speaking to one of the security guards who’s worked for much music for decades and he said that was the biggest crowd they have ever had. The line was so long it was So far down the street they had to start cutting the line because there were too many people it went miles down the street past the subway station at osgoode. I felt horrible for big time rush because they were also there that day and nobody was there to see them at all. I also felt horrible for them because their concert was the day before and as soon as One Direction were finished 90% of the arena evacuated mind you the arena was cut in half so the only used a quarter of it. I just feel awful because so many people left Big time rush started walking through the 100 level singing to people because it was literally empty.

The crowd was so bad outside, they had to threaten they weren't going to bring them outside if people didn't stop pushing...this was before one direction even came out🤭

These fan are being so disrespectful.
Im a fan of another famous group (not gonna say the name cuz dont want any fanwars), those fans would never be this disrespectful towards their idols with all the touching when they were passing and screaming and invading their privacy in the restaurant. Im not used to this. If this behaviour happened in my fandom they would have been criticised heavily. Atleast listen to what theyre saying and let them walk peacefully.
We all know youre a bts fan from your name, but the difference is One Direction was huge BTS isn't as big and popular, it was insane around One direction this is what the beatles were like, this is what happens when you're the biggest boyband of an era and the boys didn't mind they're not as high maintenance and distant with their fans as kpop groups are, I used to be a kpop fan but not any more because they're so much more distant, racist and boring with their fans
One direction never called their fans crazy, they always defended them as passionate and dedicated and were always being nice and sweet and normal unlike kpop groups acting so superior to fans
