@@racaillou9885yeah but even then it was more along the lines of he was upset that Owen wasn't sounding sorry enough but even then Austin didn't want karma that bad on him just a possible return of some stiff shots
This is my first time actually listening to The Blue Blazer theme and it sounds like something from a video game in the Arcades back in the late 80's to early 90's or on the Sega Genesis and Super Nintendo. That's not a bad thing, I'm just saying that's how it sounds to me
I believe Mr. America was a rehashed version of the Blue Blazer gimmick. Even if Owen's tragedy had never happened, Hogan would've had no problem turning down the idea to be lowered from the rafters. It's sad Owen felt he wasn't one of those top guys who could say no and not have his push affected, but that's WWE for you.
I’ve always said Owen would’ve been perfect to play the heel hero parody character in the same vein as Kurt Angle in 2000. If the character had just been tweaked a little to fit Owen, it would’ve definitely gotten over. Everyone remembers Owen fondly now because of his tragic death and the things we’ve learned about him from the people that knew him. But the truth is that we never really got to see that side of him when he was alive because he was always a heel on WWF TV and the last year of his life he was always in bad storylines. If WWF would’ve let Owen be Owen done away with the stupid mask and the stupid outfit, and just let him be a self-righteous goofy heel similar to Angle he would’ve gotten over big and he’d still be here.
Owen rejected the love triangle storyline with Debra and JJ. Owen didn't want to be perceived as being "hard to work with" and probably didn't even want to do the Blazer again. So when Russo and friends suggested it, he unfortunately kept saying yes.
Owen, his size, his style, his skills... if he had come around a few years he would have been an instant legend... in the 80s, he did things no one else did... it was more than high flying (there were plenty of amazing flyers during this time) but it was everywhere, mat, back, in the air (where ever he was, he was amazing... I swear the modern style of wrestling that came from areas like Ring of Honor has Owen Hart as a foundation and starting point
I think of Owen as much as his family now. I wear a pink singlet in honor of Owen. If I had the $75 dollars at the fair to purchase the video of my 200ft high pendulum drop, you would've heard me Blue Blazing it up!
The first match I ever saw Owen in was his match with Mr. Perfect at Wrestlemania 5, which still ranks among my favorite Wrestlemanias. The first move I saw him do was a backflip off the top turnbuckle right as the bell rang and before he and Perfect locked up.

It’s kinda creepy but kinda cool to hear this theme now. It’s creepy because it reminds us of the night Owen left this earth and we know we’re listening to the last sounds Owen ever heard. It’s cool to listen to it because you can think about the good times and memories Owen left behind and what might’ve been had he never taken that fall.

Yeah, the 1998-99 reintroduction of the Blue Blazer was Vince Russo's grand idea of making a big inside joke referring to Owen's first role with the company. Owen had long graduated past that, yet it was given as punishment for Owen turning down the Debra affair angle.
