He said he was extremely shocked when he saw the girls cos he thought he'd killed them already and couldn't believe they'd survived; he said under their eyes was all black and they looked like they'd been through "trauma", he also said he was extremely angry that they had survived and weren't dead. Chris said when he was strangling Shan'Ann, she didn't fight back and that's why he had no scratches or anything on his arms or face, I think that's because he'd told Shan'Ann that he had already killed the girls and knowing that, she didn't want to live without her girls. That's my theory anyways.

He thought nobody would notice how he was so relaxed, calm like no urgency that even during this interview he was asked about the jersey he was wearing. And I think that irrelevant question had a purpose: to catch his lies, because let's be honest who would answer those kind of unrelated questions when a loved one is missing. The media filmed his full body during the interview to show how he was dressed, so police could see not only his gestures, but also his appearance. So I think his appearance, demeanor and answers were important for police evaluation. Fortunately, he couldn't fool police and media and his "no urgency mood and relaxed demeanor" aroused even more the suspicions of detectives.
I absolutely agree with you. When your family isn't at home and you have no idea where they are, you literally call everyone, visit every place, are in the police station and basically are trying to figure out what might have happened. He is doing none of that. He is so calm and even smiling, a normal person wouldn't smile if their family was missing. People are usually not even able to eat and sleep. His wife was pregnant anybody would be scared that she's pregnant and she small kids with her but ofc when you're the one who's killed them this is how you would behave. A true scumbag.
This story has haunted me and I do not even know this family personally. Like millions of others I have grown to feel emotional about the victims and their extended family. They are emotionally devastated victims that will never ever be the same. I could see how somebody in distress would rock and self soothe and all that. A lot of what people see this with the benefit of hindsight. One thing I did think at the time though, was how he spoke without saying- MY kids, MY wife. And he didn’t say he loves them at all. In his mind, he had disowned them already. They were not his family anymore. That was weird to me before I even realized that he had killed them. I didn’t even think that at first. I didn’t think someone could be capable of that.

True it wasn’t her fault he found a new play toy in the mistress, no responsibility and free as he once was so he had a taste of it and didn’t want to go back to responsibilities and familiarity. That mistress saw a married man and she was like hey if he can get married with her he can get married with me. Her Mother’s and Brothers and Father’s victim impact statement was filled with insurmountable pain we will never be able to fully comprehend. Wearing flip flops like he has no urgency to search for his family! An innocent man wouldn't even have the time to shower instead would be searching EVERYWHERE since day 1 like he would go in person to search in the woods, lakes, neighborhoods around etc no matter the time and not just wait at home, take a shower, do laundry (like he did) and wait for the police to do everything. OMG he has no remorse!!

@@twentyfour4222 because based in this case, he was trying "his best" to fool the police and wanted to give them the impression he didn't know about his family's whereabouts. He thought nobody would notice how he was so relaxed, calm like no urgency that even during this interview he was asked about the jersey he was wearing. And I think that irrelevant question had a purpose: to catch his lies, because let's be honest who would answer those kind of unrelated questions when a loved one is missing. The media filmed his full body during the interview to show how he was dressed, so police could see not only his gestures, but also his appearance. So I think his appearance, demeanor and answers were important for police evaluation. Fortunately, he couldn't fool police and media and his "no urgency mood and relaxed demeanor" aroused even more the suspicions of detectives.

I absolutely agree with you. When your family isn't at home and you have no idea where they are, you literally call everyone, visit every place, are in the police station and basically are trying to figure out what might have happened. He is doing none of that. He is so calm and even smiling, a normal person wouldn't smile if their family was missing. People are usually not even able to eat and sleep. His wife was pregnant anybody would be scared that she's pregnant and she small kids with her but ofc when you're the one who's killed them this is how you would behave. A true scumbag.
This story has haunted me and I do not even know this family personally. Like millions of others I have grown to feel emotional about the victims and their extended family. They are emotionally devastated victims that will never ever be the same. One selfish pathetic man did that to so many loving individual's, and the heartbreaking part is the three family members he killed loved him dearly. Such heartless cruelty mankind is able to inflict on others. I just don't understand..

I could see how somebody in distress would rock and self soothe and all that. A lot of what people see this with the benefit of hindsight. One thing I did think at the time though, was how he spoke without saying- MY kids, MY wife. And he didn’t say he loves them at all. In his mind, he had disowned them already. They were not his family anymore. That was weird to me before I even realized that he had killed them. I didn’t even think that at first. I didn’t think someone could be capable of that.
