My grandpa used to play guitar with Freddy. He told me so many stories about what they'd do and how much fun every moment was for them . Freddy was an amazing man, I love all his songs!
I'm 29, 23 years ago I was crying for Freddy finger 🤣🤣🤣 my papy knew who I wanted to hear. He passed away 4 years ago,but I listen to the songs we would sing together when I'm missing him.
Remembering my dad when he and his siblings would play guitars and sing this and many others. Dad took himself out of his body, death certificate states 12-8-22 that's when I found him, they said he'd been gone for 12-18 hours.
This song always hits your feels and helps your remember how amazing your parents and grandparents and such are especially when they are there for you through thick and thin
This song started brain-worming me out of nowhere last night, came here to listen to it again. Brings back fond memories of my grandparents dancing together in their kitchen.
I always liked Freddy Fender; I call him "Freddy Bumper..." But he's a Classic! JS He sings with a lot of feeling and he get's the point across! He's a talented singer and he is one of the "Oldies; But... Goodies!" Right on Freddie!!!! Jeff Spencer
This was my favorite Tia's song when we were little. She's the reason I love all Spanish/Tejano music and dance I love to dance. She would dance with us when we were little kids.
On this day in 1975 {August 23rd} Freddy Fender performed "Wasted Days and Wasted Nights" on the Dick Clark ABC-TV Saturday-afternoon program 'American Bandstand'... At the time "Wasted Days and Wasted Nights" was at #16 on Billboard's Hot Top 100 chart, five weeks later it would peak at #8 {for 1 week} and it spent 19 weeks on the Top 100... And on August 3rd, 1975 it reached #1 {for 2 weeks} on Billboard's Hot Country Singles chart... Between February 1975 and October 1976 he had seven Top 100 records; two made the Top 10 with one reaching #1, "Before the Next Teardrops Falls", for one week on May 25th, 1975... He had one Top 20 record, a covered version of Doris Day's 1954 #1 record "Secret Love", it peaked right at #20 in 1975... Freddy Fender, born Baldemar Garza Huerta, passed away on October 15th, 2006 at the age of 69... May he R.I.P.
Lo bueno se queda para toda la vida cuando era niño no le entendia a esta cancion ahora soy un a adulto y entiendo un poco English y comprendo que siempre tube razon que era buena musica
Fuck when I was younger my grandma would play this crack a dawn and I would just get pissed.telling her to turn it down lol But now that I'm older i fucking love this music and just want to get whiskey drunk lol.
My abuelito, Adrian, looked like Freddy Fender. And he would dance with my abuelita in the kitchen while she made tortillas to Before The Next Teardrop Falls. He died in 2006 when I was 7. And I wish I could visit his grave... he's buried where he was born in Chihuahua, Chihuahua Mexico. And I miss him every day 💔💔
my granny and my paw paw said this was there song and i never really knew why till after my granny passed away early this year and my paw paw told me they just love this song. so now every night before i go to bed i listen to this song in memory of my granny. R.I.P Granny.
Such a sad song...and it makes me sadder still to listen to the lyrics. 44 years ago, I broke someone's heart...sounds soppy? I saw him recently after 4 decades, and I did him wrong. He sang this song on his guitar, I'm so sorry I made him cry. If I could unbreak his heart, I'd do it yesterday. He found someone...I'm now singing this song. I lost my husband 4 years ago. If miracles happen, I need one now😩
As a child our neighbor was a popular Tejano DJ on KEDA 1540 AM The Jalapeño in San Antonio. Freddy would come to cook outs there but I was too busy riding bikes at that time. (Mid 1979s). But I ran into him as an adult in. Breckenridge, Colorado. We played a game of pool after a long day at the bar. Lol In retrospect I should have let him win. Apparently he does t take losing well because he abruptly left after I sank the 8 ball.🤷🏼♂
This song makes the wlders float and reflect...1 day when im an elder...my music will be like this freddy fender and ....i hope rhis song still floats....and as the kids say today ,slaps Original blues songs slap...lol Figure it out
this song remind me of someone whom i love very, very much. though 20 years passed, the sad memories is still fresh in my mind. it really hurt when someone u love so much ask u to let her go. i've to, for the sake of her happiness. maybe she don't belong to me. but till this very moment i still love her as before though when she left me, i was so lonely! she makes me blue! maybe it was fated that i've to live with this sad memories all my life.. and i believe she still love & care for me!
